Anyone tried blacking out the wheels on their Tundra Sport?

I'm wondering if anyone has done this on their Tundra Sport/Platinum 20 inch wheels. If you have, could you post some pictures?

I tried a search but there weren't any posts on this.

 

The TRD Off Road wheels are very similar, just have 2 dimples on each spoke and are 18".
You may want to search those because many have powder coated them black. It will hopefully give you an idea.
@Pudge , Sean painted his platinum 20" wheels bronze.

 

You can have them powder coated for somewhere between $50-200/wheel depending on where you are and if you bring them in without tires.

Or you can plastidip them, they wont last forever but it'll cost you about $50 total.

@Pudge dip'd his 20" platinum wheels in bronze, and i think it turned out great

 

I definitely like the OR 18s in black. Just like to see the 20s that way.

 

mine are holding up for almost a year now. Plastidip isn't perfect but better than I thought

I used satin black plastidip. 4 coats per wheel...

 

Did you dismount the tires?

 

Nope, used some YouTube knowledge. A good wheel cleaning, tire shine on the tires, recleaned wheels, then sprayed with light coats allowing for dry time in between...

 

How long ago?

 

It was done last October, it needs to be redone now though. Had a rough time thru the winter. If you do a search for threads on plastidip, you'll find some that have had it on for a while w out issues.

 

These wheels come standard in black on the Sequoia TRD Sport if you’re looking for visuals or if you want the black center caps

Unfortunately I missed my chance at the Sport that I wanted. I was a little too slow, and someone bought it.
