I don't even have a shade tree to turn wrenches under, so maybe this will be a cool weather project.

True, and I am happy to jump into the water - no pushing is necessary.

I was chasing some rich codes, and in the process of fixing, decided to try keiths injectors, since mine were pushing 250k.
Fuel trims are nice now. Havrnt driven through a full tank yet to see mpg.
    06 DC, 1.5hrs total time.
Was a little hesitant, but its not bad. I didnt even loosen the 17mm banjo or the pcv hose. Just the 10mm nuts for the rail, and one 10mm bolt on the backside. Theres enough room to wiggle the rail up.

Are you measuring fuel trims with a device? If so, what are you using.

    :popcorn:Nice thread.
Looks like a good list of preventive maintenance I could do on my wife's sequoia. I read somewhere there was one O2 sensor that was a bastard to reach, any truth to that?

Having just done all 4 on my 2002, I can say the rear o2’s were tricky as the 4 nuts were rusted and needed cutting off. Once those nuts were removed the put back was simple. As far as the fronts, I found both challenging as the connectors were difficult to properly access and not ruin the harness.

    Gotcha, thanks.
Someone said they had to pull the exhaust manifold to get to one. Could of been operator error though.

I had a lot of trouble with the 1 by the manifold on driver's side. Ultimately I had my buddy take care of it

If you have Golden Hands, then there is no need for a buddies help. The Gorilla Arm Technique coupled with Sun Zsu Screwdriver Twist Technique yields success. Multiple disciplines yield Victories every time Grasshopper.

Just a basic $100scanner, under live data. Long term should be less than 10 for normal, or its compensating, if my undersranding is correct. Mine was over 20 near idle low rpm, suspecting leaky injectors, since full pressure full throttle numbers were fine. But back to single digits now all around.

    Side post for O2 stuff.
i had a hastle with the pass side O2 on the manifold. Even sawzalled the top off to get a good socket on it after trying everything else. Instead of pulling the manifold, i pulled the 2ft exhaust section just after and machined a nut into a bung, welded it in, and just relocated new O2 like less than 4" downstream which should effectively be nothing.

The fuel trims cfl is most likely the upstream o2 sensors. I have/had the same issue. Replace all 4 02 sensors

I would agree with that being the likely cause, but i replaced them prior to this prob due to lean codes, fine for 4months, then rich codes lol.

Sounds like you went exactly the same direction as I. All sensors replaced and the injectors. My truck is running damn good at the moment but still not 100%
I removed the coolant lines from the throttle body and rerouted them. At least the cfl hasn't come back yet

sas bypass, some O2 sensors and injectors isnt too much to ask for a 14yr old truck.

Hard to believe it's 15 years old, running smoothly and plenty of power. I'm sitting at 104k miles and basically ran through a shit load of maintenance. Hopefully I will good for the next decade

Looks like a lot of good info here guys. I don’t have any codes but I’m wondering if I should be considering doing my injectors. I’m about to hit 290k on the OEM’s. Any thoughts?

Start with all 4 02 sensors. Then this will be a nice upgrade

I bought mine right from the Stealer. They keep them in stock as the parts guys said they need them all the time. They were cheap at maybe $3 bucks total for all 4. You need 2 per rear sensor.

O2 sensors, MAF sensor and a set of Dirty Deeds injectors going in this week. Next up is a call to Keith about the exhaust system.

Well it's been a while. Got all my O2 sensors and MAF sensor done and the injectors too. Truck runs great and the power band feels much smoother. I haven't really checked on the fuel mileage since I've been doing some towing.
