I still wonder why I spent the money on a stock bumper. But meh. I can probably sell it easy enough when I upgrade

Got back from camping/fishing at my mountain top lake, didn’t get many pics, I was busy having fun. I had a monster trout on, knew the hook wasn’t set, tried to set it, but the hog jumped off 5’ from the paddle board. I’ll add more pics when momma bear sends them. The truck ran great, got snubbed by some turdgens coming up the mountain, like bro, no ones gonna see you waving at a 1st gen don’t worry! D7B151D2-A55F-49FB-A3A3-C178987257F5.jpg

Good idea. You might try cleaning up and spraying some Aerospace 303 on your existing gaskets. You can also wipe down the doors contacts points where they meet the rubber and spray them, as well. Another trick is to bend and fluff your gaskets and tighten all your door hinge bolts.

I’d recco visiting my build page and address all the leak points on our trucks first before going full banger on that video. The main wind noise I knocked down with Butyl Tape was at the A pillar where the door gaskets are attached at the windshield bracket. The second best thing was adding a combination of Butyl and Fiber Matting in the doors. Good video idea, but you may not need it.

Bump on this. Anyone change out their Cam/Drive Shaft Seals? Can the Cams Seals be done by pulling out and pushing new in? Or, does the Cam Shaft Shroud need removing? FSM is unclear.

Made my own mesh grille to accomodate for the light bar that was way larger than expected. Should have bought a dremel to cut the grille because the angle grinder is too big, but it turned out alright for $10!

Yesterday I confirmed the gain in power from adding a tailpipe to my exhaust. There’s a certain hill on the way to my parents house that will require the truck to downshift to maintain 60mph.

after adding the tailpipe, it maintains 60mph in overdrive. Not a huge difference, but I’d call that noticeable.

Worked some Mojo on the truck today addressing some loose stuff.

    1) Used some Metal Roof Screws with Rubber Washers in place of the wallowed out plastic holes Hinges. Glove Box solid! The Console Screw over to the left is the same type and from last year.

    2) Access Cab door rattle fix? Fabbed up two Composite Shims junior wedges and affixed them on the door under jamb as pictured with Gorilla Tape for temporary testing. Took drives in Scientific Test on same patch of rough road with windows up and down each way. Once with wedges. Once without. Success!

Uncanny timing. Check what I just posted. The wedges keep the larger front doors from clacking down during rough roads.

You could hot glue one to sill, one to door. they'd only rub each other.

Full roll cage would tighten up the cab...

Thinking Double Sided Tape for now. Fuzeit is a back up. Not to worried about rubbing, as the composite is slick. Might mount it so the sill protector is in play.

Got it dialed. Doors have just enough back/neutral pressure on them from the wedges that when the fronts are latched up with the solid rear doors it becomes a Wurrld Peas thing of beauty. All is love and nobody gets rattled. Doorslives matter.

Played around with the gun case foam and found a place for the coin holder. I'll clean up the gold sharpie marks with a black sharpie in a bit. I have three layers of 1/4" with the top cut out but think I'll cut out one more layer to tuck it down a little more.

Not much but cleans it up a little...

That would be nice! I was out measuring my hand lotion bottles and the coin holder might effect their storage. It will be close.

Operation Revenge of the Zzzzzzzttttt!!! Success!

Remember I made a rare hand model slip with the foil tape and sizzzzllled my Map Light Switch (pass side switch). That then gave me an idea to do the ‘Jumper Mod’ so one push lit up both lights. @theblurry1 sent me a New Map Light about 6 months ago that he scored at a junkyard. Today, I removed the Light Assy Portion out of his and installed it in mine. Now, the pass side switch works along with the drivers side. You can push either side and both lights come on.

Also, I removed the metal Lens Covers way back in another mod. Lets out more light instead of just through the little magnifier. These pictured ones are gnarly yellow compared to the ones already on my Assy. and are for information use. Not sure if I put this mod in my Build Page as I lost many pics in a device change over. See pics.

    Hey y'all,
My AC blows hot and the light blinks. Replacing the relay didn't help. When I hook up the gauges to add new refrigerant the low side is in the red (really high). Doesn't seem like the compressor is kicking on.

Did my compressor go night-night? It looks original. Has anyone replaced one before, and if so what parts did you also replace? Compressor looks like it's about $200, after doing it myself I could probably take it to a shop so they could vacuum pump the moisture out of the system.
