Thanks - I'm really looking forward to seeing them grow. Was picking up some Chrysler Imperials when I saw these. Very excited.

The garage walls aren't insulated so I was able to drop everything down through that. There ended up being about a foot of it visible on the other side of the wall and then squeezed it all between the block and foundation over to the outside unit.

Was impressed, biggest fault I usually see in self install is not shorting the line set and homeowner coiling it up vertically causing multiple oil traps.

In the process of a fireplace patio geared toward cooking. It will eventually have a roof over it. If we're stuck home and not spending money for a vacation I may as well make the yard better.

I got compliments from the HVAC guy that did the flush/vacuum/charge testing on the system. Apparently I paid enough attention when I helped my grandpa at his plumbing shop back in the day! I also got really lucky that the lines that came with were EXACTLY the right length...

That thing is super quiet. I didn't think it was running until I could barely hear the fan running from about 5 feet away.

Last night, the kids were upstairs, in the loft watching a movie. I thought to myself, I should add a dimmer switch for the in-ceiling loft lights. So, today I went out and did just that lol.

Don't you love it when the wife rearranges a room, wants to move the TV?
Then she says 'can you move the cable outlet over there to that wall?'.

'Sure Babe there is nothing more I'd like than to get in the attic, on my bad knees, and fish a cable down a wall.'
It was a little different this time, the other side of the wall is the master bath.
Had to do a sh!tload of measuring both walls to make sure I didn't hit any supply lines or drain pipes..

Ran a picture wire thru the ceiling to mark where I wanted it.
Go in the attic, find it, had to lay under the furnace to get to it.
Drill my hole in the stud to run the cable.

Then I get it all ready, measure, mark, and cut my hole in the wall.
Then find a hot water supply line and a sink drain pipe very close to where I cut it.
Sink drain threw me off since it is a double sink, didn't realize that would share a pipe in the wall and go into the foundation in the middle.
But that all worked out, I took it easy cutting the hole with my OSCILLATING saw..

Ran the fish tape down the wall, had her grab it, came down, taped it up and pulled it up.
    It all worked out.
I must have went up and down those attic stairs 12 times today.

No pics but anyone that has done it can relate.
I cruse myself every time this happens for not getting the DirectV wireless mini-Genies.
I've had to this in each of the 4 bedrooms.

Got the chimney on and the stone set on top. Next will be the sitting walls in each side.

Did you read the entire post?

I've had the wired units since before they offered the wireless.
The last time I inquired about them, DIRECTV wants $400 to swap the wired units to wireless mini-Genies.
It would also require another 2 year commitment to them.
I haven't been under contract with them for a few years.
I'm thinking about ditching them in the near future and don't want to be stuck with them for another 2 years.

But thank you for your concern, it was very helpful..

Yeah I missed that last line sorry.

Seriously, both Dish and Direct do this crap. Offer all this free stuff to new folks but gouge their loyal existing subscribers. I would contact Dish, get an offer and go back to Direct, tell them to disconnect and see what they do. I dumped Dish a while back in favor of local fiber service and I'm still getting calls from Dish to reconnect with all these offers of free stuff.

When I had DirecTV a few years ago I had this same issue. I wanted to mount a TV on my patio but there wasn't coax anywhere nearby. I ended up finding the wireless bridge and mini-Genie on Amazon for around $100 for both and already had the main Genie system (the remotes, wireless or wired, are shit IMO). I had to call their support to get the bridge and wireless mini activated, but after that I thought I was golden... until I cancelled my contract a year later and they included MY equipment on the return list. Those assholes claimed that the receiver I bought outright, 3rd party from them, belonged to them. I went back and forth with different supervisors and all sorts of shit, but in the end I just sent it back because it wasn't worth the headache.

Having said that, I have a free DirecTV wireless bridge if anyone wants it...

Been doing some upgrades in/out the house. My buddy finished our handrails and stairs. I did all the beveling and sanding. He did a helluva job, also built us a nice 2 door front gate. Some before/after pics. Also prepped backyard for pool installation. :D

My buddy said I have a few years left on my deck boards so they will be pressure washed and stained.
Looking to paint house this fall.
