My passenger side was a foot low so I had to bring it up. I didnt set the dial at 0 though. I just adjusted it to where the drivers side was.

Correct, I used a Phillip's to turn from the top vertically, however I did not like how it was biting the gears so I switched to a 1/4" driver and adjusted from a horizontal position behind the headlight and that's when I saw a positive adjustment it took me 6-7 turns horizontally from the rear of the fixture to bring it back into alignment.

Yeah it makes me wonder why it said no more than 3 turns or it would cause the aiming system to fail.

I gotta say if anyone is on the fence about these, dive in and purchase them. I was for a while I upgraded the stock halogens to sylvania ZXE in the Spyder headlights and then I bought these and its like driving a metro prism and upgrading to a konigsegg. They are a tough cost to justify but once you fire them up you will not look back. Crispness, color, sharpness, immediate full brightness they are amazing. Combine them with the foglights and fuhhgetaboudit.!

The picture of the fence is the DRLs by themselves. They are still decently bright when the headlights are on.

I would get the matching XB fog lights. I have been running them for 2 years and no issues. perfect match to the headlights. they are $200 ish sometimes less

I agree what you're saying, my wife is all about my passion of vehicles I wasnt even looking for a truck when I found mine. And the concern of cost when modifying directly results in more money down the line for cut corners is a big no bueno! I just have big plans and dont need to. Burn out the leeway quite yet!

So based on the link that I found, I removed the motor from the OEM light. It will go in if you rotate it, but it will hang differently on the housing so it may or may not affect installing the light on the truck. There is also a small pin that sits in a slot when the motor is locked in, and you wouldn't have that if its rotated.

To account for the leveling issue, we should be able to cycle the dial to 5 and install the lights. Then turn the dial down instead of up when towing correct? Not a big issue to me if so.
On my current install, I notice my lights adjust up when I turn the dial up. I have a sneaking suspicion the XB issue will offset the wiring issue I am dealing with and help right the wrong in play with my OEM light setup.
Sadly, my new XB lights don’t come until next Tuesday. Let me know how the installs go .

Took them on a night run last night, not too bad. The drl’s are insane bright, the sequential signals and lock/unlock is pretty sweet. I need to find the adjustment sweet spot as currently I feel like I have to spots in the center, but I’ll get it with some time near a wall and some level ground.

Yes if you are not lifted at all. I'm lifted so 5 is way too high. I was normally at 3.5 but now that its backwards I'll probably be around 1.5.

I installed the lights this morning. But for the life of me I can not get passenger side Hi-Beam connector to seat far enough to lock in place and it keeps falling out. So no hi-beam on side yet.

I had trouble with one of the connectors also. Just play with the pins slightly to move them until the connector slips on. Don't force it. Move a connector slightly and try it, repeat until it works.

Final result: Everything is working! While fiddling around, I discovered the connector had no trouble going on upside down. So I de-pinned it, swapped the red & black wires and walla!

How is your gap fitment around the lights? My drivers side fit a little better than the passenger side. I have to order new nylon inserts and then do some minor adjusting....damn OCD. At this point, I give up on the motors being backwards for now. I haven't even done a night drive yet.

Nice. Those DRL are bright aren't they? Now figure out how to reverse the motors...lol.

I would wait for morimoto to come up with a solution as not to void the warranty.

Hopefully it's a simple fix, because it'll cost them a lot of money to replace all those lights under warranty. :eek2:

A reverse worm gear would be the easiest most likely. They are made in Taiwan so it could be a while. :notsure:

My gaps are a lot like yours tighter on the driver's side and a bit bigger on the passenger side. Since I'm not lifted my level adjuster was set at Zero. So I spun the level adjuster up to 5 before installation and I'll work it backwards if I need it.

At first I wasn t going to bring this up, but I m curious. Maybe someone has an opinion on the Vision X 07-11 TOYOTA TUNDRA FOG LIGHT KIT WITH XIL-UMX4010. It s here: https://headlightrevolution.com/vision-x-07-11-toyota-tundra-fog-light-kit-with-xil-umx4010/
It uses the XIL-UMX4010 4" round Vision X Utility light @ 5 watts. Here s one here: https://puretundra.com/utility-market-xtreme-c-351_14_63_144/4-round-utility-market-xtreme-black-7-5w-leds-10ç-narrow-p-1674.html
Headlight Revolution sells the brackets for the same fog light kit here: https://headlightrevolution.com/rep...lity-market-xtreme-led-fog-light-upgrade-kit/
So theoretically I can buy the lights and brackets separately, and save $200.00.

Is there something else, beside maybe a pigtail or something, that warrants an almost $200.00 markup?
