Does replacing crushed Engine Skid plate count?
Got the replacement OEM plate from @Roman thanks!

Still had mud up in there!

I just got back from running the Mrs. Around to do some errands. Quick jaunt on the interstate and took some fairly windy back roads on the return trip.

Reduced body roll and noticeably better planted in the turns. Well worth it IMO.

Got the camper part of my car camper bolted on today. Truck rides awesome with this little weight on it. It's official, I am in love with this setup! I thought the 4 Runner was good, this beats it in every way except trail ability/maneuverability and has worked out better than planned.

Have you seen these mirrors on a tundra? Been thinking about them, but cannot find them on a tundra to make sure they aren't too big.

I've just seen pictures. But one of the few companies that have the harness and instructions to add power fold (which I lack and desperately want when upgrading to tow mirrors)

Of course found a fellow Tundras post that might help

Ah, my trusty 3rd gen. I do like this vehicle a lot. So when I got in to discover that some slimy sack of rhinoceros shit had broken in and ransacked the inside, I was less than pleased. The little MFer stole a number of things inside, the worst being my prescription bifocal polarized sunglasses. If you've never priced something like that, you'll be in for a shock. Cocksucker. I hope the arms poked him in the eyes when he put them on and ripped his eyeballs out when he took them off. That will make him easy to spot around the neighborhood.

I thought the Tundras had a factory alarm. Maybe I'm mistaking anti theft for an alarm.

Everything was 100% hidden. Some people just have their brains wired wrong I guess.

It could have been so much worse. Broken windows, kicked in dash, stolen vehicle, a knife to the upholstery, key job... I got off pretty easy.

Where did you get that switch panel?!

I moved my power slider on my 2nd to the center console. And miss being able to hit it without loving my arm.

Also did you make your own harness? Or just extend all the wires.

Eezi-Awn Blade. The worse part about it is it's very expensive but still cheaper than the Alu-cab. After the price it's exactly what I wanted and fits what I do perfectly. It's overbuilt and will last my life time if I take care of it. The mattress for me was not that comfortable but I have been rode hard and put away wet. ;) In other words, I have not been kind to my body over the years. So I have a couple blow up sleeping pads on top of the mattress which makes it very comfortable for me. I have also tapped into the power line to the built in LED light and put in a 12V plug and a USB plug for accessories and charging my devices. I run a 12V heated throw in the winter and a fan in the summer all powered by a Yeti 400. Also replaced the original ladder with a collapsible ladder.

After that I try to stay in it as much as I can. I originally got it because my son plays college baseball and traveling to his games is very expensive with hotel stays averaging $180 a night after taxes and believe it or not, that is the "team discount". That is way out of my budget so I bought the tent and it has pretty much paid for itself since then. Of course this year not so much do to no baseball. Anyway, again this thing is here for the long term and the way it's set up right now, it is a great and a very versatile setup. Love it.

I have prescription sunglasses in my truck as well. Thieves aren't likely to check them before they steal them. Mine were... expensive. They're polarized Ray Ban progressive lens sunglasses. So I sympathize. I would spit nails if some anal wart nicked them.

Thanks! Yeah it looks sturdy. I definitely don't mind paying a little more for quality products that are going to last. I'm am currently trying to minimize my possession and get quality item that will last me.

And $180 for a hotel room...yikes. I know you said you don't stay at hotels anymore. But in the future if you have to stay at a hotel look into Hotels.com. They do a push card type thing, if you book 10 nights on either their website or app the 11th night is free and the average the cost so you know your price range for the night. Great option. I've used it several times. Especially when I travel cross country during Xmas.

Definitely going to look into the rent you have. So far my list is: Eezi-awe blade, Alu-cab, and the Bush Company.

    Thanks
    Edsel
