Can't I just bolt up the shackle on the existing bushings? Only have 11K on the truck.

I think there is a difference in material....poly
Vs. Rubber...not sure but maybe it makes the ride different...someone else can chime in..

Don't think it's absolutely necessary to replace the bushings. The original are still compatible with aftermarket shackles. I left my original bushings for now since I couldn't get them to budge with the ball joint press. Working fine with Toytec shackles

I've seen the other method of removing the leafs from the vehicle, heating with a touch and cutting a slit then air hammering them out. That's more than I care to do and will just replace the leafs down the road

Anyone running 295/70/18 Falken Wildpeaks with this setup on stock TRD OR wheels? Read through almost the entire thread but didn't see that specific tire in that size. Also for those running them on the top setting, was alignment relatively easy to obtain with stock UCAs or are aftermarket required?

I believe best setting really depends on your objective and intended use of your Tundra. Recommend plan your build to save time/money. I first set mine at 1.3 and ride was better for sure. I now have driver side at 1.9 and passenger at 1.3 and it is level (no shims) and ride is very good. I have 5160s at stock height. I have 295/70r17 tires and Method 704s scheduled for arrival at end of month- I will have CB poly bushings installed to replace stock spring / shackle bushings. No doubt my set up will rub with the 0 offset (ready to cut/trim). I changed my plan multiple times and it has cost some time /money, i.e., shock adjustments, alignments, purchase of +2 CB shackles... At the end of the day I thoroughly enjoy the trip.

Im right at about 2"- it is a trip how the geometry and angles play into it on 4 corners. It rides good on light off road and street. On trails with washboard the faster I go the better it is- love'n it and can't wait to get the wheels and tires on.

My initial plan was 1.9 with 2 shims driver/ 1 shim passenger and +2 shackles. After much research and mentorship by a wizard Keith (Dirty Deeds) decided on 1.3; then to correct the lean decided to ditch the shims and go with adjusting "preload" on drivers side. Wasn't sure how it would work out but it ended up working out great and I'm glad I went that route. I have been doing what I can to test it and no issues. Love turning off all nannies...

The truck is at half tank during this shot.
Very happy with setup. Ride is more stable, absorbs bumps, and the stance is just the way I like it.
I ordered a set of 33/12.5/r18 BFG KO2 but were too massive and bulky. (will not clear)
Decided to cut down to 295/70/r18 Toyo Open Country ATIII (hoping to clear with minimal work)

TRD Sway bar definitely helps with cornering and keeps the truck stable.

Ive wondered this just because the oem ones have the teeth on them. Wondering how they would work with the shackles and movement.

Good point. I'm sure there's a ride improvement with the poly bushings but Toytec for instance only recommends using them, doesn't say it's required.

There's probably a reason why Toyota went with the design they did. And I bet it costs more than a poly bushings, unless they've just been using that same exact part forever.

Lossy, mine seem to be settling from pics above. I do have shackles but am not sure now that it seems to be settling. I will get a new pic for you.

The new Toyo Open Country ATIII -295/70/r18 (Driver side mud flap has to be trim/does rub on full lock when reversing)
Only if BFG KO2's were available in this size I would have stayed. <----Come on BFG, make this size and I'll come back!
More pictures to come. This size gives the truck a better stance IMO.
What do you guys think of the new Toyo OC ATIII?
BFG KO2's has a thicker, aggressive side wall compare to the Toyo.

Question for everyone with 6112/5160. I am planning on doing the top setting on the 6112 with two driver side shims and 1 passenger side shim.

Are Diff drop kit and front sway bar relocation kits required?

Diff drop if you have a 4x4 and sway bar relocation kit is not required. Many here remove front sway bar completely. I went with highest setting and just 1 shim DS for my truck and came out perfectly even.

Have the AT3's on wife's 4runner mounted to Method NV's, so far really like them at 2k miles. They have been great in the rain.

Ive read and researched so much my head is hurting, but i havent read of someone coming from a spacer and bringing truck back down alittle bit. I have a LRO 3/1 level kit. Im set on doing the 6112 5160 set up, but I want to bring it down like a half inch all around to kind of bring it back to normal ranges so I dont have to worry about buying bigger tires, Im running 275/70/18 right now. Does anyone know what the best set up would be? Im eventually gonna go with a 18 +20 offset with rims. from what Ive read the 1.9 is a good starting point but then how would i keep the rear up alittle bit? Im gonna do shackles instead of block. I want to remove the bounciness of the rear when hitting bumps. So i guess I want to add like a 2inch lift to the truck instead of the 3/1 level I have now. Thanks for any info. Have a good weekend everyone. Stay safe, Stay healthy.

    EDIT:
Ofcourse after I post this I see this info for it was a page I skipped. That looks like that would be a good set up for me. How much lift did that actually add? And how wide are the rims?

6112's on top setting with Boss shims, 1.5 inch shackles, 5160's in rear. 305/70r18 KO2's, Method Grid 0 offset.
How much space is between your bumpstops and lower control arms? I have about 1.5 inches of allowed travel after putting on the bumpstop extensions. I am wondering if I am taking away or limiting travel of my 6112's on top setting. I don't know how to tell how much uptravel is enough or too little. Anyone have thoughts or advice?

No aftermarket UCA needed. You would have to remove both mud flaps in the front to not rub. But since I wanted to keep my mud flap, I had to trim and cut out the part that stuck out the furthest to the tire. In the end, I still had two screws to hold the mud flap in place. Will post more photos soon. Thx.
