Hi all. Ordered up a TRD Exhaust System with Black Chrome tips and I'm picking it up on Wednesday. For those that purchased, if you have two people doing the job, how long should I expect to complete the job? I'm thinking about doing this Friday night or Saturday morning. Thanks for the perspective.

Probably an hour. It’s all bolt on. Hardest part is probably getting the old one out of the rubber holder and new one in.

Your Tundra is fairly new, it should come off with no issues. Depending on you and your help about 1 hour.

I did mine by myself, Corsa single out, and it took me more time to get the old one off because of the bolts being super tight due to rust and corrosion thanks to Maine winters. Instead of paying to have it done, I bought a Kobalt impact gun and took those bolts off with no issue.
Make sure you have an accurate torque wrench and some wd40 to help get one of the rubber exhaust hangers off. That was more of a bitch than anything else.

Did the flowmaster dual on mine did it my self in about an hour. Dish liquid helped get the hangers out of the rubber pieces and back in, that was the worst part of the job everything else went smooth.

Highly recommend the hanger tool. Made for less cussing.

It was a fairly simple job. Also recommend spraying any bolts with WD-40 ahead of time. Also makes for less cussing.

The only problem I had was my spare tire was in the way when installing one side of the exhaust (drivers side? It’s been awhile). My truck is a ‘14 and I doubt the spare was ever lowered so it was stuck. I eventually gave up on trying to move the spare out of the way and found a way to get around it.

Everything else came off pretty easy. I purchased a hanger tool to help remove those though, so maybe I cheated a little bit. I think I used dawn dish soap instead of WD40 on the hangers but whatever works.

I have 0 experience with exhausts, most I’ve done is a couple CAI’s and oil changes. The instructions that come with TRD products are always top notch.

The hardest part was removing the bolts. Some were way over torqued. It tooked me about 2 hours by myself.

Watch out for those new exhaust shields, they are sharp! Made it through the entire install without issue. Went to thread the wiring for my bed lights/ pop and lock... sliced my finger pretty good.

Also, I recommend picking up and extra exhaust hanger. This way both are brand new when you install. Have someone hold the exhaust tip where you like it and then tighten down the bolts. This will go a long way in getting both pipes even, a common complaint.

So I don’t have to open the box, does anyone have a PDF of install instructions?

I think I tossed mine, or they are in a box somewhere. Try sparksparts.com. They typically have install instructions linked under the products.

262C1769-7460-4E9B-8FA9-FAF0A397CC15.jpg Summary, install took two hours with two people. First thing, my new system did not come with installation instructions, is Toyota cutting paper costs now?

All other parts were accounted for. The passenger side tip sits 1/2” lower than the driver side, like others said, I’ll need to order a new rubber hanger.

After driving it 100 miles it is still breaking in and both spitting and burning off oils. The kit looks good and the rumble is just right for me. I’m a parent to young children, so I needed something that I can hear and feel when I want it but be subtle at times as well. Looking forward to running this system for 500,000 miles!:)

Yup. I ordered the hanger from Roman so next I have to buy the duals. Can't let the hanger go to waste.
