Is the torque spec really 230 on these?

I don't have a torque wrench that goes that high. Can I just crank them down with a breaker bar?

They are 221. I had to purchase a torque wrench that went that high. Didn’t want to chance it.

Why are you already doing ball joints on a 2020?

CB spacer kit on top of the coilovers. I had to remove it to lower the arm.

I would just torque and Check periodically for movement using a yellow or white marker. 221 pounds is a good amount to begin with. Using loctite may cause issues given the difference between dry and wet torque specs.

I hit mine with a 1/2 Milwaukee impact pretty snug then just tightened tf out of it by hand. Havent had any issues. May be a tad bit tighter than recommended, but it wont hurt anything because there is no gasket to compress. And the chances of you breaking the bolt by hand are pretty slim

Always torque those to spec. Bad day if they back out or shear.

Why loosen these bolts with this crazy torque spec? I’ve swapped out my suspension 3 times and just removed the knuckle from the UCA. Torque spec on that bolt is only 85 ft lb and easy to do.

If your installing like for like that method might be better, a lot of us are installing leveling kits so removing the LCA bolts actually might be a better way for the reassemble.
To each his own...it really wasn’t a big deal with the right tools. Easy to break the bolts loose and reinstall with the proper method.

It want fun but I got the 6112 and Pro coilovers in there, swapping out stock stuff. I just didn’t want to buy another torque wrench.

I did mine with all hand tools, next time I’m buying impact wrenches.

This is my all time favorite impact. Home depot had a sale for it awhile back, $250 with an 8 amp battery. Worth every penny and has more torque than you should ever need, with different torque settings. It makes quick work of anything

Red loctite. Mine had it from the factory when I lifted my truck.

I second the Tekton wrench. I got it to put new front hubs on a mustang. Quality unit.

Just dont want it to fail when im driving down road.

For me, ass on the ground and a foot on the frame was all the leverage i needed to get it to click..i am 6’2 so that helps

Similar with me. Might try Using a pipe To Slide over the handle to extend your leverage with your torque wrench.

Test out the torque wrench in increments. Go 100, then 150 ft lbs to see if it even clicks for you.

I used my Milwaukee beast on setting 2. I have sheared 1/2" bolts on setting 3.
