    The end of the muffler tip has tightened the washer inside of it to the pipe.
    What I did is take a thick piece of 2x4 wood and place that against the end of the tip and whack it away from the pipe.
    It will slowly budge off and will take time. And lots of muscle.

    Don't be gentle. Remove the spacers, put a flathead screwdriver in and pry it all around. It will be out of shape but once you put the spacers and clamp back on it will take the round shape again.

    Don't give up.

    This is the best way and less damaging.

    I loosened the clamp and got a chisel to beat out the spacers and then stuck a prybar between the flanges and the exhaust and kept prying until it finally came off. I also used some liquid wrench. It was a YUGE pain in the ass and took a long time.

    I should reiterate , it is the regular skid plate but I did use the 1/2 nylon spacers with it since my truck has a diff drop.
