What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Nice job and looks great!

The tear down does look way worse than it actually is. I did this too to paint my surround but more importantly to route wire harnesses to follow the truck’s original wire wiring as much as possible.

Now that you have torn in down and reinstalled, I would venture to bet that you get the bug to do it again for “some other cool mod” down the road.

Thanks. I was actually contemplating having my dealership do the install, but after watching @2020Platinum video, I felt more comfortable with tearing it apart.

Just ordered lift/tires. Now the waiting game begins.

 

Just remember there are 2 different #'s
1 for 4x4 and 1 for 2WD.

 

I found the thread on it and posted it, it has both part numbers.

 

I just followed the steps in the video I linked above. There are 4 screws you have to remove, then it's like everything else, snaps in.

 

Just about done with blacking her out. Got a sweet deal on some black TSS wheels. Only chrome left on the exterior is the badges and exhaust tip. Might keep em that way for a while.

 

Looks great! I used a flat black high heat paint on my exhaust tip.

 

Are those running lights in the fender? How did you do that?

No. Lol. Old phone. S7 Edge. Same phone for years. I hate spending money on phones.

 

I got it back together. It's like I didn't even do anything. If anyone is scared of doing this, don't be. Use the plastic trim tools and mark baggies with the bolt locations. The only thing that got me was the fact the climate control is tied into the SRS Airbag circuit. I had the seats back together, but not the climate controls(looking for an illumination tap), and the SRS Airbag warning kept going off.
