I had dame issue but with only two bolts they would not line up but mine was more of the whole bracket having to slightly be tweaked

Does the bumper ever knock the plastic out of whack when you are bombing off road? I had the limited full resin bumper but bought the SR-5 top cap and metal support to go with my MRDS. I am guessing a hard landing might push the metal retainer/cover up? Or you haven't had any problems with that?

Not really to be honest with u. However as soon as my wife lets me leave the house other then work @dcsleeper408 is putting on my rear leafs and triple bypass so those trial speeds are sure gonna be ramping up.

I have to say this MRDS Bumper has been a total fiasco. I posted previously the bolt holes weren't wide enough. So I measured and measured and then grinded the slots wider on each side. Turns out the slots were off center so I had to grind the right side even wider. Wound up with some very large hardened mil-spec washers to hold the bumper on. FYI, Toyota Torque spec is 43 ft-lbs. I went to 47 since I had the large washers.

So earlier today I got to installing the light bar. had purchased the same ones from Amazon as AWS278. They were too short and too tall, so I measured and started drilling a holed in the tall bracket at the correct spacing. WTFrick!! These are like case hardened steel. I have drilled 1/4" 304 stainless with the same bits with coolant and they are barely putting a dent in these brackets!!!

Not yet. But it's driving me to drinking.

Did I mention my bumper doesn't have the "window" between the steel supports like I see in the pictures of the Gen 3's on this thread? So even if I get the bracket drilled, it's going to be tough to get it screwed together.

Also, there is a thick weld on the right side that is preventing the mesh screens from fitting into place. Crappy QC for a USA made product!!!

Too late. I made a rookie mistake and didn't test fit it before powder coating. I was being lazy and didn't want to take the impact bar off and put it back on. It's on now and ain't going anywhere. Just have to figure this light thing out.

I'm pretty frustrated. The only issue is with the Rough Country light bar. There is no room for the factory mounts and the after market ones I bought are like case hardened steel apparently. I'm using good Viking bits with cutting oil and it is barely putting a dent in them. Going to wait to hear back from ASW278 on if he had luck drilling them and I just got a bad set.

I love how you can see more of the tread from the front. Seriously looks good!

I am running 275/60/20 now so was comparing.

Mine if I ask you did you have to do any other trimming or a BMC?

Yah so I have a 1.25 spacer and the rim is a zero off set so that helps the caster is moved out to move the wheel forward and I have a bmc and am planning a pinch as well when I go to 37s. Thanks man it’s been a process that’s for sure but love this stuff @toyota tom

I'm super frustrated with N-Fab right now. The skid plate has the holes off from a quarter to a half inch in places from one side to the other and it doesn't line up with the bumper.

As far as my light bar, I bought the Rigid mounts, drilled them, and Cerakoted the raw metal black. They still won't fit. There is no way to screw the hardware with the light bar inside the light area since the 2nd gen bumper doesn't have the "window" at the ends. I'm not about to start cutting holes in it there. I just broke down and ordered the Baja Designs OnX6+ 30-inch LED bar and two Squadron Fog lights with wire harness adapter for Tundra fogs to the tune of $1500... GRRRRRR. Wife is not going to be happy.

Selling Rough Country for $225 Shipped with stock brackets, Amazon Brackets and Drilled/Coated Rigid brackets. Any takers?
