RCI skid plate issue

Somehow Fedex notifies me as well with my shipping info and texts me with updates. Maybe sign up for notifications with Fedex to get that info as well.

 

Yah that’s a good idea but my wife only lets me go to work and back with this lockdown so it’s not like I can even use the truck lol

Exactly my thoughts!!! Going through the thread seems like @RCIoffroad really needs to step up its game! Several missing hardware orders, non stainless bolts, smaller washers... Not really encouraging news to hear for the order I've placed last week

Shouldn't the kit come complete and spare the buyer the trip to the hardware store???

@RCIoffroad have some QA process prior to shipping out; make sure the correct and full hardware it's included....

 

Talked with Tim this morning he said they would double check stuff very nice guy impressed

I'd check the website to see if they have anything posted, but I think they had office ours down to specific days. I might be thinking of a different company though. Not surprised that you don't get a response on the weekend though.

My question is where are my skids lol I was told 1/2 weeks then it turned into 2 weeks then 3 cause of covid then it was they are done and shipping last week now it’s tues still no update no calls back no emails I’m just not impressed

 

You do have to replace the hardware with stainless. That’s true. I think I spent $20 or so upgrading all the hardware but I live in Maine. It’s a necessity with the salt they put on the road during the winter. If I lived in a southern state with no snow, I would have just used the hardware they provided.
The powder coated steel plate from RCI is a beast and was well worth it. Perfect fit and finish.

 

Damn bro, im surprised, i think we ordered at the same, i got mine like a week and a half, not to rub it in. That really sucks.

 

It took more than 2 weeks for me to get mine. The website said 1-2 weeks but I figured it would be a little bit longer due to the Covid. I would just hang tight and wait for the tracking numbers. Hopefully everyone at RCI is healthy and they are just running behind a bit because of the sale they are running.

 

Yah man I get the covid thing but if you can’t run tell people is all I’m saying. For the money you pay it would just be a nice gesture to return calls or emails or give a correct eta to products

 

I just got a email they said they are shipping Friday they we’re waiting on the engine but it would ship Friday. My reply was this is the same thing u told me last week lol but ok.

 

That is good news, just make sure you get a tracking number.

 

And hardware lol

Exactly my thoughts! I understand the HUGE shortcomings of the current health situation, BUT I'm sitting here with a 'Processing' order since 4/8 no word from RCI... Charge already cleared from my CC... it's the order coming? yes? no? no word from them... A lot can be solved with basic communication, it's a matter good business practice and respect towards the customer!

 

For what I paid and the time I gotta wait if I’m missing a bolt I swear lol. I should have had my buddy just make some. Now I know better

Now, to clarify, I am totally with you on this and I wish you were having a better experience from RCI. I am just hoping to share the laugh. They were great for me, but I also ordered when the world wasn't shut down.

Keith and Roman are some of the exceptions, but yeah. Being courteous to the people you are buying from is pretty much dead too. I couldn't work in customer service now days. Too many D-Bags that think "the customer is always right" and other idiotic things.

 

I’ve talked to both of them and I agree they are beyond amazing and the guys at all pro for my sliders I had an issue I was blown away at the service I got. But like my dad says I used to pay for craftsmanship now I pay for excuses lol.

You are right... yet an email with 'Hey, we are OK but as you can tell there are a lot of issues nowadays. We appreciate your business, patience and understanding' shouldn't be an overwhelming task... emails can be sent from home or any other preferred safe location... either by phone of laptop...
