What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I got my LED turn signals from Headlight Revolution they included 4 Resistors so installed my rear turn signals first wired in the resistor that solved the Hyper flash so now installed the fronts and was ready to install resistors but decided to try it without and I didn’t have hyper flash I never used the other 2 resisters for the front so my guess is you only have to wire in the resistors in the rear it was very simple theirs a lot more room to work with in the rear of the truck

 

Installed my Victory 4x4 center console molle panels and a tie down kit for my Yeti cooler on my Diamondback HD cover today.

Shoulda washed her too cuz she’s all dirty from playing in the snow all weekend. I’ll save that for tomorrow since I have nothing better to do. On 3+ weeks of no working now and it’s driving me batty.

 

I hear ya brother, I've left both the front and rear turn signals alone on my current setup, both were plenty bright. However I've heard and seen how the turn signals on the new OEM leds leave much to be desired, that's me being kind. So I'd like to replace them with leds but just don't want resistors. I'm trying to find out if that's possible, perhaps with a led bulb with built in resistor? 1 thing I refuse is hyperflash regardless. Our new Ford work trucks make the hyperflash sound from the factory and it drives me nuts, even though it's technically not hyper flashing. It's FN weird, and it's the last thing I want my personal truck doing or sounding like.

I'm starting to think the front turns aren't all that important, definitely not as much as rear. I'm not so sure me cutting someone off is gonna make that big of difference if they see me signal before I do it lol.

You'll be soooooo tempted when you see it installed, it does look fantastic. The problem is if he showed you a pic of what you gotta do to get it there, you might be soooooo tempted to let this 1 slide. Guys say it's not a horrible install but it does look scary as shit since the whole inside of the truck just about gotta come apart.

 

I'm thinking about painting mine.

Oh I know what it takes to swap it out..
An installer scratched my silver one, should have installed that HU myself, and they replaced it.
The replacement sat in my attic for 3 years.
When I pulled a Rokfrom magnet off my dash this year, it ripped the silver finish off.
So I dug that piece out of the attic and swapped it out..






I can't believe I don't have a pic when I had the entire dash apart..

But I do have pics of my sound deadening install..

That looks good, not sure I'd trust myself to cut it straight though.

 

It was a very slow process. Taped off the line I wanted and very light scoring over and over and over. Eventually it cut through.

 

What did you use to cut it?

 

A glass cutter to score the line and then then a brand new razor blade

 

Thanks! I went mod crazy on my 4Runner that I traded so gonna be a little conservative on this one for a while. First order of business is to debadge. Then to try and figure out how to get my fridge mounted on the short side of the back seat. Looks like I will need a custom bracket to hold the big side in place so I can remove the small side seat. Have been searching and searching and it doesn't look like anyone has done it.

You did a great job of cutting it, looks awesome. Question though...WHY did you cut it? Was something wrong with it at full size? Was it flapping or making noise since you modified it to in-channel?

I did not like how it blocked my view out of the rear view mirror.
I cut about 3” off of it. And it is now curved, rather then straight across on the bottom so it follows the roof line better and matches my side visors now as well.

 

My first tundra was the dbl cab I really liked having the extra bed space. Post a photo of your 4runner.

Got some goodies from @sdhq_offroad to install this weekend...

 

Some folks on this thread have found some solutions. The '19 Pro headlights are so bright the shitty halogens in the front turns were impossible for people to see which is why I added the LEDS but I think some folks doing what you're doing still had some hyperflash issues. I'm also 100% w/ you hating the hyperflash sound. It's terrible.
