    You had me second guessing my installation skills. Which is a totally valid thing to do

    How long have you had them? The guys at SPC were super easy to get a hold of, and super knowledgeable...just give them a ring and see what they say? The guy I spoke to gave the impression that they essentially wouldn't go together the wrong way, as the taper wouldn't fit. Were you able to get the castle nut torqued down correctly and the cotter pin aligned?

    I just ordered mine! Any other tips? I've watched quite a few youtube videos, but can't be too prepared.

    Am I the only one along the line of thinking that I don't want toyota logos projected out of my headlights since light would be better than a logo? Or does it not restrict the light output much and just for looks when they are lights are turned off in the daytime?

    They can affect light output depending on the design, but I don’t think is usually super noticeable, the other “hot thing” right now is demon eyes, usually a color changing led controlled by your phone, placed behind that etched lens but in front of the projector shutter and reflector; usually ran not when the lights on. And it illuminates the fish eye lens in a cool way, sometimes people etch the lens to get a cool effect when the demon eye is on. The car lighting world is super crazy and new things pop up often.

    You can see the slot on the bottom of the arm for the castor plate. It should say left or right in that area too. Unless you're talking about the uniball, but I believe the shafts are two different sizes completely.

    I watched this one to figure out adjust the camber. The top nut needs to be closer to the engine bay on both sides. The knuckles need to be lifted to do it easier. That video is very close to ours. I only took the bottom rear guard clips out to remove the control arm bolt. The brake line mount on the driver's side firewall might get in the way of removing that bolt, but it's easy. That was the easiest thing I did over the weekend.

    How are they off? I had the nuts all the way to the outside of the control arm and it looked like a "V" from the front. Looking at the postion of the top nut, the passenger looks good camber wise, maybe a little negative. The driver looks pretty positive. It shouldn't take 30 min for an alignment shop to do that with the SPC control arms.

    (Camper conversion underway.) Rebuilt engine w/265K miles, A.R.E. camper shell (w/cab pass-through, rooftop fan, and side windows delete), bedlinered steel ladder rack (w/wooden rooftop deck and hammock mount), all LED lights (red dash, 4" side floods, 32" rear bar), Android head unit, 1.5" lift from Bilstein 5100 struts, 32" DuraTrac tires on factory rims, 1.5" wheel spacers, Moog suspension parts, SuperSprings leaf kit, diff drop, Reese trailer brake control, GoRhino Hitch Step, debadged, F-150 rear bumper, Sequoia center console unit upgrade, partial rear bench seat delete, dashcam, aftermarket speakers, 50% sound deadening coverage, custom tools unit.

    Got some door sill protection going from Home Depot for $10.

    I was able to do both sides from one sheet. May not be for everyone or as OEM as the protectors that say "Tundra," but it fits my "roadside assistance truck filled with tools" aesthetic, protects the paint, and gives some good grip.

    Too early to tell right now, but preliminary testing shows that light output is minimally impacted. It's not like a bat signal.

    @empty_lord is this a real thing that the 4wd is a 3.91 and the 2wd is a 3.92?

    I'm getting more serious in the search for a 4wd donor truck and this is news to me. If this is true then I guess I'm gonna have to find a donor rear end as well.

    Yeah I think the driver side is off. Last time I got an alignment about 3 or 4 months ago they said "we got it as close as we could, just keep em rotated. The driver side is a little off."
    That made me upset because there's no reason for the alignment to be less than perfect when you have adjustable UCAs. So next time I'll bring the SPC instructions

    Maybe yes, maybe no. I'm not big on hollywierd types in tights so that whole superhero things is sorta lost on me. Although if there was a Toyota man he would probably be at least somewhat down to earth.

    That's what I thought mine was but people have insisted it's a 3.91 but according to the chart someone posted and my codes on my door sticker I think it was 4.10. all I know is if it was 3.91 I doubt I'd still feel all the power I do with all this extra weight from armor and tool box and 295/75r16s plus my fat ass haha. My 99 taco had 3.91 iirc and with 265/75r16 it lost power. The 03 I think was 4.10 and it didn't feel affected much by them
