I have 275/65/20 tires which are right at 34" with just the front leveled. I did remove the front mud flaps (spats) though.

The cheapest lift you should go with are bilstein 5100s.
A spacer lift will throw your alignment out of whack and you’ll never be able to get it 100% right.

Also with your truck being a 4x4. Why would you want to reduce the capabilities of your truck? If you’re off-road and hit a good bump say goodbye to your shocks if you have a spacer lift.

Do a search on google for experiences with spacer lifts. You’ll probably change your mind.

And this is coming from a person with a spacer lift.. I regret it and will be removing it eventually.

not sure OP is talking about a spacer lift...

but OP, if your talking about installing a 3/1 lift not sure why cutting would be required with the size tire mentioned, looks like a 32” tire. You probably wouldn’t have to cut until about. 34”/35” tire pending wheel offset after a 3/1 kit.

What kit did you have in mind?

Either of which will be fine as long as you are not looking to go off-roading and climbing rocks.

Spacer kits are just fine when coupled with axel drops for the cv angle and bump stop extension to prevent shock bottoming out. Most well know brands come with both in the kits

I went with a spacer lift and my truck is spot on with stock specs for alignment.

I would not disagree that the 5100 is a better option, but everything you said about the spacer lift is false information.
There are lots of 3/1 or 3/1.5 spacer lift members here who have no issues with alignment. Yes, it's almost maxed out, but to say it will "throw it out of wack and never be able to get it 100% right" is just not true and I don't understand why people like to spread false information like that.
To say that "hit a good bump say goodbye to your shocks if you have a spacer lift" is the same BS. The kits come with bump stop spacers. Install it and there will not be any problems. 5100s will bottom out also if you don't install the spacers that come with them.

It sounds like you have sour grapes - maybe didn't install your kit correctly.
Again, I agree that there are better options, but don't spread false information......

@bdpeelgren is right in saying a spacer lift will jeopardize travel and are more prone to snapping the lower portion of your OEM shock if compressed too far. i.e hitting a good sized bump off road. Spacer lifts just raise the front of the truck but don't lengthen travel of the shock. Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks are .5-.75" longer than OEM shocks so they are less prone to collapsing in above said conditions. Granted the supplied bump stops should be installed along with the 5100s to help avoid this from happening. That is not "spreading false information"...

What I was saying is that the shocks will not collapse if you install it right (i.e. with the bump stops that are part of the kit). To make a general statement saying the shocks will collapse is false information. It will only happen if not installed correctly. My truck's engine will fall out if I don't install the engine mounts. That doesn't mean the engine is bad. Same principle.
