Anyone have the rci skid plate? I'm trying to secure my front fender to the skid plate but the holes do not line up. Anyone have this issue?

They should have sent a bolt kit for that. Looks likes your missing the long bolts that connect to your bumper.

Yeah I'm not sure its designed for the 2019 fender. There website says 2007 to present.

I have a 2019 and did the engine, trans, and fuel tank RCI skids. No issues at all. Others have had some missing hardware before, so I would touch base with @RCIoffroad to see what they say.

I just installed all three of the RCI skids on my 2018 1794. They did leave out the smaller bolts and washers to attach the front bumper tabs to the engine skid.
Other then a trip to Home Depot the install went great.

Just a thought, if you've already tightened everything down, then that might be the issue. IIRC the directions recommended getting all the bolts started before tightening any of them down you might have enough play to align that one if you loosen everything up.

I thought They tell you to reuse the original bolts for the very front in the instructions. Been months, so I might be remembering incorrectly.

no I installed mine two years ago. And they send you new bolts that are about 1” long with lock nuts because the factory ones thread into the plastic bumper.

No worries at all. Best to have accurate info. I really wasn't positive about it. Once I installed it I forgot all about it.

I do have those small bolts. I just didn't see a way to put them on. If I put them through the top and thread down the pan wont be flush with the bar above due to the bolt head. Any help is appreciated.

Here are the instructions. It say to put the bolt through the top which doesnt make sense because when I tighten the bolts that secure the skid plate the bolt heads will be in the way.

I had some washers missing. I know, some will say check bolts n washers before starting install, I guess too much to expect but not first I’ve heard of missing parts. They will send missing parts out to you, but you’re installing right there and messes the flow...

The one I had missing was the half moon washer. We end up getting a reg round washer that fit fine :notsure:

I believe that I installed a bolt and nylon washer onto the skid plate as stated in step 3, then in step 7, you put the bumper tabs on those bolts and put another nylon washer on it.

I got that part. Where does the bolt head go that secures your fender. Your plate looks flush, if I bolt mine down to will put pressure on the bolt heads.

I circles where my issue is. If there is no gap between the frame of the truck and skid plate how does the bolt head not get in the way.

Looks like it is a flat head bolt that is just smashed between the skid plate and the frame. I did have to put these bolts on before installing the skid plate to the truck.

Thanks man, that helps. From what I see there is pressure on those bolt heads from the frame bolts. They could have thought of a better design in my opinion.

I have all the hardware, I just dont want to bolt down the plate with pressure being on the 3 bolt head points that are used to secure the fender. I am still trying to think of a better solution. Right now I just have the fender tabs dangling. I will probably end up buying the bolts in the picture since they have a flat head.
