Any wiring wiz’s on here? I recently install two sets of Baja s2 lights (one rear bumper set and the other as ditch lights) and an s8 bar in my front bumper. I am far from a pro at this and am a bit apprehensive about tackling this solo. I was quoted 600 by a local stereo install shop to have it all put in. At that price I’m going to take a crack at it myself first.
I have all the lights in place and all the harnesses that’s go with said lights. I do have a few questions.
    1. My s8 harness came with a two leg harness, can I just use one leg of this harness?
    2. The s8 harness has 2 pins and the harness coming off the light bar is 3 wires ( black, white and green). Green is a drl feature I would like to use. The light bar came with a three pin connector that I can make my own harness with. I’m thinking cut, splice in the red and black respectively but the wire that will connect to the green ... can I splice from my spider headlights drl light bar?
    3. I have ordered Cali raised one switch. All the switches that are already attached to the harness are two wires. I already bought two add a circuits, anyone familiar with how to wire them up to light with the dash lights?
I can post up pictures of everything I have currently in just a second but any help is appreciated

So what your saying is that the light bar harness has 2 plugs on it and the light bar itself only has 1? If so then yes you only need to use one of the connectors. You should purchase the opposite end for the connector not used and put terminal plugs in there to protect against corrosion. https://usboltkits.com/products/wea...l01r3flxXmxeqaVTtSwxoGOPUVp1xQSEaAp-3EALw_wcB

You can attach the green wire to your Spider headlights if they have a drl wire. Your new switches should have a 12v input, an output to your relay, illumination wire and a ground. If you want to use them without the ignition you run the 12v input to a constant 12v source in the vehicle. If you can provide a diagram of the new switches I can tell you how to wire them. It would also be helpful if you can provide a diagram of the relay harness

Thanks for the response man I truly appreciate it.
To be a bit more clear it appears I was sent out a harness that had an extra plug ( like a fog light harness) what I did was cut off the 2 pin connector and ran those two bare wires to the three pin connector that Baja designs supplied. For the drl I quick spliced into the drls from my headlights. Everything fired up fine.

The wiring wasn’t as hard as I was making it out to be I think I was just over thinking it.

the switches are what are giving me fits now. I’m going to be doing a little more research before I tackle those.

    Sooooo

    Black to ground
Green white to 12v constant if you want to use without ign on. To ign or accessory to use with key on.
Red to you light bar or fog light harness
Green to illumination(from another switch is easiest)

Your switch from your Baja lights trigger the relay. You will connect one side to of that switch to the red wire and not use the other. You will have to test which wire is the input and which is the output.

    See fine print
what you are asking is pretty hard to answer unless you can show point to point of the wires on the harness. I don’t use pre made harnesses because they are meant to be stand alone and not wired the way I want.

I made a diagram of how I would wire a light bar w the Toyota fit switches. With this config the switch would light up w park light or ignition depending on which you tap into. I recommend park light.
