LOL, I'm anxious as well, hoping it doesn't suck! The AAL was supposed to lift 1.5 inches. Keeping the factory overload and adding the 3° shim bumped that up to 2.5 initially. Now that I have driven it around a couple of days, lowered the front by two notches, and had an alignment, I'll re-measure this afternoon. Very pleased with the ride overall, at least for my highway and ranch road use.

Key word in Bold. The only thing my ICON AAL gave me was disappointment. The Wheelers has a better reputation though.

Got the lines bled this morning and took her out for a test run with the fresh rear shoes. Did a ‘bedding in’ sequence and everything is working as it should. Stopping power seems a tad better. Parking brake is smooth in operation.

Still adjusting to the new pedal feel with the new ‘braided flex hoses’.

Waiting for the delivery of the new front 13WL calipers and DOT5.1 brake fluid as the next positive step in brake progression. Hope they come before 2pm as I can get started today!

Man I wish I had the free time you guys have. I got parts sitting in the garage for months on end waiting for me to peel away and tinker on the truck

SCS arrived today, just have to have them mounted. Measurements:

    Before After
    DF 19 21.75
    PF 18.75 21.4
    DR 21 22.7
    PR 20.75 22.75

I would say that without the factory overload and the shim, you would be hard pressed to get 1.5 out of the AAL--at least with the camper shell on.

I’m having a hell of a time with this truck! I installed the ECGS bushing last week and the new axle seal I put in was leaking. Replaced the seal and did the driver side wheel bearing while everything was apart. Cracked my rotor in the process so I ordered the Power Stop Z36 rotors and pads, installed those today.

As of now the seal isn’t leaking, but when I was installing the passenger side new rotor I noticed GROSS play in the wheel bearing that I replaced less than 4 months ago! It was a Koyo OEM wheel bearing and new seals.

Hoping for better luck going forward.

Today's adventure. SCS are on, Ultras are sold. I like 'em! May not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think the dark bronze goes as well as anything with the DSM, and it will definitely go with some of the other colors I am considering. The -10 offset put me just about perfect with the no flare wheel wells (although a -6 would have been better) With 285/70r17 and the caster set at 2.6, some slight rubbing on the mudflap at near lock. Nothing I can't cure with a hammer and a heat gun. BFGs are definitely louder than the Toyo ATII, but couldn't complain about the price I paid for these slightly used. I'll run them for a while, at least.20200130_150606.jpg 20200130_150714.jpg 20200130_150735.jpg 20200130_150808.jpg

I was literally just looking at those wheels last night

And I think you meant 2.5 caster, camber At 2.5 would be a bit excessive

Got the front frame rails all coated in 3 coats of steelit black, Saturday getting Eastwood internal frame paint then installing the plugs. Truck should hold up well after all this. Just have to address surface rust by the gas tank, will probably drop the tank in the summer to do that

This is what I do, as well. Easy, modular, and cleanable. I need to run out and get some color matching ‘Barcelona Red’ Towels now that my color scheme has changed.

[IMG]Backup camera is in tundra tailgate handle. Does it need it? No.
For 30 bucks is it worth it? Yes

Ordered a new handle though. This one broke from being removed too many times

If your going poly get energy suspension black ones. They have graphite in them and are less prone to squeaking than the red ones

I think they’re all gone now sir. I checked every distributor and corporate toyota for mine when I found it and there were 3, I was bombarded with messages on FB about where the other two were and I’m assuming they’re gone.

that said I am selling my tundra, pretty sure it’s sold actually but he may not buy the grill which is now painted black to match my truck from its original silver.
