I do this too (ramps). Much easier than floor jack + jack stands plus it is clear under the truck so I can scoot around at will with the creeper. At my age (70), it is the easiest method (for my Tundra as well as my wife's Sequoia).

What kind of ramps are y’all using? All I’m seeing locally are poly ramps

I have Rhino car ramps. They are reinforced plastic and highly rated (I bought the heavy duty ones at Auto Zone). Look them up and you will see what I mean (I don't have a link).

I bought the harbor freight ones that are the equivalent of the higher rated rhino ramps. I've used them several times already. really good quality. I still use jack stands with a double locking pin though. Even though the ramps are rated for 13,000 lbs, I like having that second layer of safety in case something would happen to the ramps. I bought the red torrin 6 ton jacks with the locking pin. I know it's all overkill for the weight rating, but you can never be too safe when you're crawling under a truck.

You'll love it, i bought one when I bought the truck with 69k miles on it and the plastic one was so tight from wherever the previous owner got the oil changed i couldn't break it open with an impact or 1/2" breaker bar.

TIP for when you do get it. The first time you put it on put oil on the threads it will install and seal much better then throwing it all in there dry. You do use an o-ring but putting oil on the threads of the housing helps it thread on easier

I read 20 also. It is not that the techs don't own it is a matter of using. After dealer put mine on to about 130 ftlbs and I complained to the service manager he claimed to have done another training session on using a torque wrench.

Over use of a torque wrench is pretty prevalent on this forum. Just snug it up.

I was holding this find for myself, but have come to the conclusion I won’t move on it for a while. He was willing to ship when I talked to him.

    That's a hell of deal ^^^^.

I'm pretty sure that I paid somewhere around $150 for my Jowett with Fumoto and the socket.

Someone get on it like a drunk Gamma Phi sorority freshman.

I got mine for a little over 80 bucks with the socket and ez drain valve. He had a run of "blemished" units but I couldn't see anything wrong with it when I got it. I still would have paid full price for it tho. Its an awesome piece and I like that it is made by a small time kinda guy. And it works flawlessly

Aluminum housing, motovix tools and filter drain with fumoto valve with retaining clip was the best decision I’ve made. I just did my first oil change after installing them and loved being able to drain the oil into old 5 liter oil container from the previous oil change. It’s such a cleaner oil change and I eventually got over being worried about the fumoto. Very glade I switched to it.

I had Fumotos on Tacomas and now on Tundra. On the Tacomas they are protected by skid but more exposed on Tundra which kind of concerned me. No problems so far. For $150 I can deal with the oil on my hands with the drain hose. I have boxes of latex gloves.

Yup. $126 if you want the valve with a nipple for a hose. Below the drop down it says they have 0 in stock but orders will be taken.

What type of canister fitting will you use? Seems the Fumoto type valve will really limit your options. I use the Motivx, so it wouldn’t work with this setup.

Not sure I am understanding your question. Are you meaning the socket to remove the jowett cap? If so, Jowett sells a socket for it.

Awesome! I put an order in as soon as I saw orders were being taken. I really hope I can get it before my first oil change is due. I'd rather not have the dealership mess anything up on the truck before I make the swap.
