Victory 4x4 ditch light brackets

Is this the way they are suppose to sit? Post pics

 

They should point to the sides of your truck.

Or are you asking how the bracket sits?

 

When you lift and bring the hood closed is it hitting anything?

 

Do they seem to be to high?

Nope the are about 1/4 of an inch from the windshield

 

Yes it is because of the the bracket being thick it makes it stick up

 

It could just be their design. I think some are more low profile, but tag @brimy311 and see what he says.

Did you install the bracket between the hinge and the hood?

My Rago brackets (and others) mount under the hinge (so the hinge still contacts the hood). The brackets should not raise the hood at all.

 

Hmmmm....ok comes with no instructions but I will look at some videos and yes installed between the hood and hinge

I ordered mine from them when they first came out and they had the installation video up for their release. Looks good though, glad that you were able to get it corrected

How did you guys run the harness for those that have BD as ditch lights they barely reach each other. ?

 

The connection to the BD light seems to kind of be seen from the top of the hood

 

I used a fish tape to run the wires from the passenger to the driver side through the hood - there are holes on both sides near the windshield. I also installed a rubber grommet.

 

run under the cowl hood. they barely connect to each other. Like you found out.

 

So you had same issue?

 

yep. they fit but you gotta route them properly. Not much slack left when connected.
