Tech12volts door and/or dash speaker group buy. 2020 version

So after having tons of people ask us to do another K170 group buy here it is .
We are doing this again. I had to go up on the speakers a little as the tariffs have everything costing more right now in my industry but not by a lot. and the sides we are using kenwood excelon 3.5 that are made to go in the tundra dash. They are direct bolt in and i like them alot . They actually sound better than some speakers we have used that cost 4 times as much. and they have a 2 year warranty . the center is still JL audio c1 twetters . The plug n play option is for NON JBL only . my harness guy is trying to make some for JBL but hasn't as of yet . still very easy to wire them in as you can take the factory speaker out of the truck and wire it back into the factory plug while out of the truck . The sail panels are factory toyota parts and the tweeters just pop right in them. Here is the new listing .

1 set of hertz k170 components front with brackets and harness
1 set of hertz k170 compoents rear with brackets and harness
all screws and bolts for mounting them for 229.99

options are center channel jl c1 tweeters with our custom bracket
side speakers for dash are kenwood excelon 3.5 that are made to be direct replacements .
for non jbl guys you can get the sail panels to place the tweeter up high in the front doors and i highly recommend these . You can cut your also but if you are off on where you cut them the tweeter will not sit flush. so be forewarned if you decide just to cut yours.

also fo non jbl we have plug n play harnesses for center and side speakers that prewire for you so they just plug into the factory plug on the dash . Sorry jbl guys i am working on some for you guys also but they are still very easy . Shipping is free in the lower 48 states

Ordered mine yesterday....at least the hertz K170s for the doors....and already have the "out for delivery" notification this morning!!! Will be placing an order for the dash speakers next week....James has literally the best customer service!!!

 

Questions: 1.) Plug and Play - is the entire speaker kit fronts/rears, tweets and dash all plug and play, no cutting required?
2.) Since I have an SR5, no front sail panel tweets, just rear. Can I run corner dash speakers and sail panel tweeters and remain plug and play?

 

They have premade sail panels for sale as well

 

yes you will run a wire down to the mid from the tweeter but we send you every thing prewired so all you do is plug it in . there is zero cutting on non jbl if you buy the harnesses for plug n play . its literally bolt in and plug up

I dont think the sail panels are pre-loaded with the tweeters are they?

 

no they are not but they just snap in

 

its also easy just connect the wires up on the tweeter . The rears have to be jumped at the tweeters also but we send you instructions on how to do that

I bought MP 25.3 tweeters last week. Are they better than the tweeters from this GB?

For every one in here, wanted to share this very helpful write up, just in case you needed it:

Also make sure to have some T-taps or butt connectors on hand prior to install, for the tweeter wire installation. You will see in the post i Linked where to tap your tweeter wires. hope this helps and it is a very easy and straight forward install. Oh 1 more thing look on the back of the Hertz speaker box to see how you put the mounting ring onto the tweeter.

 

Would it be possible for you to build the speaker brackets out of plastic like HDPE or maybe blown PVC? Not a huge fan of MDF in the doors. Would be willing to pay extra if this is a possibility.

Forgive me for asking stupid questions but I really suck at this.
I drive a 2019 double cab non-jbl

I just purchased a Kenwood DMX906S and all the gear/harnesses/accessories to install it from Crutchfield.
I have not bought any speakers or anything to even bypass the factory amp.

This group buy looks great but I have a couple of questions.
The "side speakers for dash are kenwood excelon 3.5 that are made to be direct replacements ." - is this the existing tweeters on the right and left of the dash?
If I get those is there no need for the sail panels and tweeters? Is it either/or?

@james@tech12volts Do you sell any kind of plug and play or easy to install amp for an amateur like myself?

They are not MDF . They are treated HDF . Big difference . I have them in vehicles for 15 years and I live in a very hight humidity climate . zero swelling .They look like MDF but they are not
