What Viper says ... I'd had never done anything like this before and it's still holding up just fine. If you use YouTube you can find other ways of doing this as well. I stuck with the simple way and might try a different way in the future.

I've wrapped mine also. The 3rd one came out better than the first but it's a nice, cheap, handy mod

You could probably do it either way. I didn't have any issues with keeping it tight while doing this and to this day still no issues. If time is an issue for you, it really only takes a few minutes to remove them. Just becarefull to take off the tabs on the handles slowly so you don't break the tabs.

Thanks, I will pull them off and do in the house, thanks again! I bought blue and black cord and would love to know how to use both together but probably go the easy route with one color!

Two colors would be very cool. take a look on Youtube for different ways to do this. I might redo mine someday, but I don't wanna fix what's not broken.

    Hello all,

Finally did the paracord wrap and thanks to csuviper post, it was easy!

Here are pics after the wrap and I'll post more after I put them back on the truck!

Out of the 50" of cord maybe 4' left!

Here is the cord I used

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CJICDWO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and the tools in the pic is all I used!

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
Will this work on the 2nd Gens? I assume it will. My driver interior grip handle has been "falling down/off" since I bought the truck. It has become quite annoying at this point. I have not really bothered with it until now.

It looks like I should just be able to find a 2 bolt that fits the threads that are already there and screw it in. It currently is just held on by the plastic clips on the thing, so needless to say it cannot be used and falls off whenever I hit a large bump...:annoyed:

This is a great photo. Very interesting to see how they deploy.

Added mine tonight. Easiet mod yet. I was debating putting step rails back on but no need now. At least for a 6 footer. Pulled chrome cup holder surround. On third coat of paint. I have to say if you do this be very careful. Some of the plastic tabs are very thin.

Just an update to an old thread. I just completed this. I ordered everything thing I needed from @Roman, it came with the U-nut, the new bolt, and washer. That's awesome!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but since I don't have one, does anyone notice it in your field of vision after installation?

    Anyone regret it?

Not at all. Best 15 minute mod you can do to the truck. I still forget it’s there and hop into the truck like I used to.

one of the best mods out there , put it on my `2015 DC (2.5' leveling kit )and love it ! You will spend more time in lowes getting the bolt/ clip on nut than installing it . I went from grabbing the steering wheel climbing in to the handle and am thankful every day that I did it .

I'm debating getting one. For ~$150 I'm not sure whether it's worth the spend. Lift will be on in the next week or so, so I guess I'll have to see how difficult it is to get in.

This morning I didn't even know I was missing a driver's handle! Now my wallet is 160 bucks lighter.

Kudos to @SparksParts for same day ship and TUNDRAS.COM discount.
