No rattles so far. I haven't made any Adjustments since i installed it. We had a good rain over the weekend and it did a nice job of keeping the bed dry.

It's a quality product despite my criticisms. I think the extang solid fold (which in had on my tacoma) or even the backflip are probably more practical for what i need in a bed cover but I really like the durability and look of this cover. ( On a side note i have the DB se which is rated to hold 400 lbs and I googled weight capacity of the extang solid fold. While extang doesn't publish the number, I founds vender post that extang told them it was 500lbs but evenly distributed. If true I don't know how to feel about that. I thought i was paying double for the most durable product out there. Did I? Having both the DB is definitely put together better...)

It does make it difficult to reach items bear the front toward the cab. I am now looking into a bedslide. Not sure i will go that route due to price and losing cargo space, but I like the idea of it.

How old is your DB? I feel like I read that the shims might be new in the last old year or two. I have the rail system. I believe the shims ultimately help with making a better seal

Appreciate the reply. I found a 2017 video on a DB Tundra and noticed a fair amount of rattle when they were opening/closing the panels. Wasn't sure what that was about then. I'm in the same boat I probably don't need that heavy duty cover although I need weather and theft protection and don't want noise from the cover especially when driving.

Living in the cold wintery north I don't want to spend $800-$1500 dollars on another brand that will fall apart in 2-4 years. I'm am looking at $2500CDN for the DB so want to be certain what I'm getting into. (Hoping to catch a sale)

When I was looking for discounts, the best I could find was 10% off which is the same for military discount and the previous group buy discounts. I've read that DB doesn't really offer any discounts for black friday etc.

Well, their shipping is faster than advertised. I should get mine by the end of the week. I should get the truck to put it on some time next week... I was expecting the truck to come first. lol.

Mine is almost a year old. I got it last November. I never had any rattles or leaks on mine since I put it on last year. I’ve also taken it off entirely and put it back on a few times since then. Interesting that they’re shipping them out with these shims.

Forgot to add that I live in Texas. It gets brutally hot for months at a time but we rarely get the type of freezing cold weather more common up north. Not sure if really cold weather might cause rattles or affect leak-proof seals, but at least the Texas heat hasn’t affected it yet.

i just noticed that i can see light along the cab side of the cover when looking into the bed. i know this isn't normal and it probably just needs to be adjusted.

on another note, beside shims my kit also came with a roll of a rubber seal. it wasn't clear to me where this is supposed to go but i think along the tailgate. I didn't end up using it.

The roll of seal is for that gap you see.

Yeah, if you see light, it just needs to be adjusted tighter. I thought the roll of strip was for the cab side. I put it on at first then removed it.

I had to put the roll seal on at the front, I had light coming through as well. I either had to go super tight and barely be able to close the front locks or use the seal. Now water only gets through where the bed front and side connect, cover is completely watertight.

No noise when driving. It rattles a touch when open, but once closed everything tightens up. I could see if you had weight on the cover the locks may get looser, but if you're carrying weight on the cover a lot I'd look at a sled deck more than a DB, those things are built for permanent weight up there with the legs straight down to the bed.

Had my cover freeze a couple times already (just bought it this spring) and it's so much easier to open once that happens. Old covers I'd have to peel the rubber off the tailgate to get it open, this one just takes a couple hits to loosen up the ice then push up on the tie down anchors.

Just another update, I adjusted the cover this weekend and fitment is better howevet it has developed a rattle during driving. Doesn't bother me too much but I can even hear it with all Windows closed. Not sure what changed that caused this and I'm not sure where the rattle is coming from. The topper is much tighter than it was before since I adjusted it however.

sigh. I hope my truck isn't delayed again. Should be here in the next few days (in theory.) I would be nice to be able to do something with that really big pallet of awesome taking up my garage... Especially as it's not getting any warmer and the gaskets on the cover aren't going to settle in properly if they're frozen.

I ordered my Diamondback HE with 13in CrossBin on Veterans day and it arrived 4 days later on the 15th. I was shocked about the shipping speed. I installed the bed cap shims first and proceeded to install the bulkhead weatherstrip prior to the actual cover (approx 25 min). The cover and crossbin took about an hour to get it setup and tweaked out before locking it down for the 24hr weatherstrip cure time. I'm stoked on the look and materials quality. As an active duty Marine we often laugh when something claims to be "military grade" or "military tough" because our gear is constantly breaking. I dont foresee this bedcover breaking anytime soon as it appears rock solid, maybe they engineers at DB should design some equipment for the DoD.

I’d be interested to know how you like the crossbin after some time of use. I have the HD cover and even with the 3rd step N fab bars, it’s still pretty difficult to access anything (with it being lifted) in that section of the truck so I’ve been considering it.

Did you end up installing the light kit for the bed of your truck? Looking at Matt Gecko kit and wondering about the quality of it.
