I’m not understanding the shackles. If I go 6112s at the 1.9 setting, won’t that level out the truck? Then adding a 1 inch shackle brings back the rake? Getting my suspension done this coming Friday and would appreciate some insight. I just want the truck leveled btw. Thanks!

Not sure if you do any towing/ hauling, but the moment you put any weight in the bed you'll be driving around nose high. I'd recommend a 1" shackle lift in the rear and add poly bushings also. I do a lot of towing and hauling and it works for me.

correct. 1.9 will level it. Adding 1” in back with the shackle gives you approximately 1” of rake.

I’d say 1.9 if you still want a slight rake.

OK, feel like I got it. One last thing, when you say put weight in the bed, most of the time, any weight would be like family suit cases, my bike, etc, no hauling. Would that still put me nose high? And that's bad because of a lack visibility, and such?

No, sorry i meant any significant amount of weight. You should be fine. Most guys want a level truck or with some rake. Nose high looks o_O to most.

1.9 with two driver side shims and one passenger. Coach builder +1 rear shackle and it’s has about .5 rake now

Sorry to kind of bring back an older thread, but quick question. Would the ride height adjustable 5100's get you to the 1.9, and what shims are we talking about here?

Exactly what I did and am happy since 1.9 is not much lift for these large trucks.i used two shims each side for 2.9 total lift.

On some trucks this is true. It’s called the driver side lean. Couldn’t notice it on my truck. I’m running the CB shims in each side. A 1/4” shim gives you 1/2” of lift.

Most people adjust driver side to make up for the tundra lean (its across multiple Toyota truck and SUV platforms, not just the tundra).

Typically the driver side is not as high due to heavy items being mounted on that side.

Shims work to adjust this and most adjustable coilovers shipped out typically have a thread or two more showing on the driver to help make up for the lean.

Could someone with their shock setting at 1.9 and 2.5 put down some measurements (center of hub to top of the wheel well)?

just installed 6112's on the 2.5/top setting (no shims) on my '15 crewmax, didn't lift the back, but added 5160's. here's my measurements of my hub to fender:

    before -
    front (driver/pass): 22" / 22"
    rear (driver/pass): 24.25" / 24.25"

    after -
    front (driver/pass): 24.25" / 24.25"
    rear (driver/pass): 24.25" / 24.25"

i'm thinking the front is going to settle down still. i only drove 100 miles after installing.

That’s odd. Mine measured at 24.5 on the 1.9 setting right after install. Took about 5 months but it settled to the 24” mark on driver side with one shim.

Yours should be more than 2.25 at the top setting after install

that's what I was thinking too. my assumption was that I'll just go with the 2.5 so I don't have to take apart the front suspension again, and I can just level out the back. not sure why it's only 2.25", but I verified that both sides are on the top clip. maybe I gotta find a better place and remeasure
