Figured I'd start a thread to show the progress over the next couple of weeks. I spent a good amount of time sleuthing these forums and others over the months to figure out what I wanted, and at one point, I thought I was for sure sold on high $ coilovers with remote reservoirs up front and something similar in the rear (go big or go home, right?). However, after doing some soul searching…the 6112/5160 combo is more than sufficient. I don’t plan to rock crawl. 90% highway use. The rest of the time will be on fire roads here in Colorado to get to camping or fishing spots. And the ride will be much better than stock. I'll be sure to post some additional pictures of the before soon along with some measurements.

This weekend, a buddy and I are going to tackle the following…
    • 6112 coilovers set at 2.5”
    • SPC UCA set at “D”
    • Differential drop kit
    • 5160 piggyback resis in the rear
    • Toytec shackles set at 1”

And thennnnnn, a week from today she’ll be dropped off at Toytec for new shoes and an alignment.
    • 17” Icon Rebounds in titanium
    • 285/75/17 Toyo Open Country ATII

What are your thoughts on loctite? Where would it be a good idea to apply some red threadlocker? Keep in mind that I may need to add shims above the coilovers if I experience enough lean to warrant it...so everything may need to be unbuttoned again. But the long UCA bolt?? The leaf spring bolts/nuts? OR could you argue that you don't need loctite?

    Not enough....
Blue loctite can't hurt, red is overkill, but most times I prefer just a little anti-seize and just torque to the correct spec. I've done a lot of suspension work, and don't really loctite anything expect engine crank bolts or the like.

    But always anti-seize everything lol

I would like to see the outcome of that wheel and tire combo and if you have any rubbing issues. Really thinking about going with a similar combo.

New lift only has maybe 20 miles on it. And obviously the measurements were taken from the ground and not the center of the hub. New wheels and tires go on Wednesday...so i'll re-evaluate what shims are needed at that point.

    Stock

    FL: 37 1/8" FR: 37 1/4"
    RL: 39" RR: 39"

After coilovers at 2.5" setting, 1" shackles in the rear
    FL: 39 1/2" FR: 40 1/4"
    RL: 40 1/4" RR: 40 3/4"

    Thank you @Toytec Lifts
The truck turned out perfect. The driver side shim that was added leveled it out side to side and I have 1/2” of rake. Love it. ❤️ I’ll add more pictures when I can.

@mww982 the tire and wheel combination couldn’t be better for what I wanted. They had to remove the mud flaps but no cutting was required for fitment up front. The spare fits underneath the bed very snuggly with about 1/2” clearance from the shackle bolts.

Just out of curiosity, what was the approx cost of your suspension upgrade?

A level/lift is still in my long game and I haven’t chosen hardware yet. Yours sounds good.

Thanks for the info, still trying to decide between 17’s and 18’s. If I go 17’s it will be the same size tire as you. 18’s would be 295/70/18.

Just ordered my camper shell for the truck so new shoes will wait until these tires wear out.

I've got same Icon wheels with a 2 inch lift in front (Falcon sport level kit) and Coachbuilder +2 shackles in rear. What size tire you end up going with? I've currently got 285/70-17 but next set may be 285/75-17. I've have to trim front liner b/c I get a little rubbing now on right side with current set-up.
