04 rear window stuck down.

That reminds me of Tech support, when computer was acting up. They would first ask is it plugged in? Followed by, did you turn it on? lol

 

I spent about an hour on it. Simple green and a scrub brush. Rinse it down and wipe it off.

Well crap, now what? I have no radio, no power mirrors, no power outlets and no AC as far as I can tell... wholly crap. (the #22 fuse is good, but when I test it, there is no power to it) but there is to all the others... I need a drink and I am not that much into drinking. lol

 

Not sure where to ask follow up questions, here or in thread recently started but what was you doing when things went south and loss of those functions.

 

Oh definitely. I started it and gave it a few revs. New oil all over the hood and engine bay. About half a quart sprayed everywhere.

 

I was chasing the window issue (that wasn't) and when I was checking the switches at the dash for power, the one for the mirrors I got a spark. I knew right away I had to either blown a fuse or the switch itself, but not all of these.

 

Thanks for posting this. It was very helpful when I was working on my wife's 2007 Sequoia. The window was stuck in the down position. I was getting a click with slight movement when using the window up/down button but that was it. I ended up putting my son up front to operate the button while I reached into the very bottom of the back door to provide the motor with some firm lifting help. I placed both hands inside the door frame at the bottom of the window and lifted carefully. We got the window up and will be ordering the new window regulator today. This will keep the snow out for the time being. Thanks again.

Not sure if you got this figured out, but I just fixed my dads 04 AC rear window. The switch worked intermittently, but not consistently. Popped off the trim panel to the left of the steering wheel, removed the window switch and cleaned the rocker contacts (not the harness contacts). The contacts directly below the switch, not the wire connections. Be careful when removing the switch, but once it’s out just use a QTIP with some brake cleaner and get the contacts nice and clean. Reassemble and it’ll likely solve your problem. The easier solution is just purchasing the part on Amazon, but this was more fulfilling for me.

 

If you want an authentic part, never purchase on scAmazon or fleaBay.
