UCA’s

I’m trying to decide on what aftermarket UCA’s to install on my tundra. Having a hard time deciding on what to go with since there are so many out there. What’s is everyone running?? Any input will help.

I’m running JBA control arms, I like everything about them and the price was right. Think they might be doing a Black Friday sale? I see you’re in Cypress, I’m right on the edge of where cypress and Houston meet, zip codes anyways. Good luck with finding what you need

 

Thanks for the info. How are you running your Bilstiens?? I see you have coachbuilder shims as well. You you have 2 on the driver side and one on the passenger side? I have mine set at the highest setting and was thinking about adding some to give a 1/2in more lift and to correct the driver side lean.

 

That looks really nice @MAGDADDY !!! Do the houston meets go on frequently? That is the one thing I'm looking forward too when I get back in January.

 

I run them at 2.5” and have 2 shims on drivers side and one on pass. The truck sits just a little nose high, but I like it and it’s pretty damn close.

 

You know I seen a few but haven’t had the chance to go. If you get on fb check out the TTC Texas toyota coalition, the also have a page on this forum as well. Obviously they are state wide and some meets aren’t close but there’s been a handful in Houston since the beginning of the year.

What's your lift?

Camburg builds a lot of caster into their arms, downfall is they don't work well with smaller lifts due to that.

 

Camburg, total chaos, Icon. All solid choices

 

Just noticed the OP is 2wd.

If it not too late, get lift spindles!

Lift and you won't need UCAs of even new coilovers for that matter.

Some are made with ball joints and some are made with uniballs. The uniballs are stronger but require more maintenance and are known to be noisy.
You may see more travel out of a uniball arm vs. a ball joint arm but if you're 2wd and not doing heavy off-roading than a BJ will be fine.
The brands that have already been mentioned (JBA, SPC, Total Chaos, Icon, Camburg, etc..) are all high quality. Pick BJ or Uniball and then pick the color you want. Can't go wrong.

 

I went with ball joint
