Help! Truck cranks but won't start

No error codes.

 

Yeah, i got no codes.

 

I bought a new battery but still no go.

 

I did but still no go

 

my motorcycle won't start if the battery in the fob is weak

 

Is therr a battery in the keys?

 

the fob that controls the alarm

 

ok guys, been searching online with the issue of cranks but won't start. I've had my buddy bring his 2016 sr5 for me to check. So when he insert his key, the immobilizer LED stops blinking. When I insert my key and my spare key, it is still blinks. Anyone know how to fix this? I found a fix online to do a jumper on the OBD, has anyone tried it?

I have an OEM fob and a viper alarm fob. I'll try and see if the OE fob will fix it.

 

When you replaced the battery, did you leave the terminals off long enough (at least 10 minutes) to allow the ECU to completely lose power? If not, I would try that. If that doesn't work, I would pull the remote start module and go back to stock wiring to see if that solves the issue. One time I noticed my key immobilizer light flashing while driving shortly after installing my Fortin remote unit. I have not been able to duplicate that issue.

 

Mmmkay..."When I START it, the Battery light and Engine light is lit." Does that mean that you are actually getting the engine started with the new battery??

 

Dude my buddy had this exact same problem in a 4 banger Toyota, same setup with the Viper alarm. A Viper tech showed him how to reprogram the fob by holding down the reset button on the alarm transponder that's mounted on the windshield by the rear view mirror. After that his car started fine.

 

I didnt use the truck for about a month so the battery completely died so i charged it and install the battery back and still wont start. I removed the battery and bought a new and still wont start.

 

Engine cranks but wont start with the old battery then i removed the battery to buy a new and still wint start.

 

I cant seem to find the button to disable the viper alarm. I'll call viper tech support and maybe they can help.

Its the immobilizer. Just needs reset and techstream was the solution.

 

From the Viper or the OEM fob?

 

Both. I've pressed both unlock button but the immo led still flashing.

 

Being a Techstream user, what area in Techstream deals with this and what were the steps taken if you recall ?

edit....disregard, found it under "Smart Access/Utility/Smart Code Reset" if that's correct ?
It also appears one has to download "ImmoReset PassCode Calculator" ?
