Hi I am new here but I have recently put some AMP Mud Terrain Attack 285 65 18s on a set of XD Holeshot 18x9 +25 offset and have no lift. Currently no rubbing issues at all. Was wondering if I could go to a 305 70 18 on these wheels without lifting? I know I might have to trim a little. Looking for some expertise/experience for guidance. Thanks

That's almost 35 inch tire. How much do you enjoying chopping your truck?

I have 3 & 1/2 inch OME lift and I have 295/70/18 and I still had to do wheel well liner mod and I feel I am stuffed. I have to frequently clear the ice that builds in the wheel well during winter.

Yeah man, I've spent the last couple weeks looking and trying to figure out what I can fit under my truck with no mods. I'm about 99.9% certain that's the biggest tire with that offset that you can get. Going up to that 305/70 is going to need liner trimming, mud flap removal, and possible body mount and skid plate modifications.

The 305/60 is smaller than the 285/65, just a little wider. What are you trying to accomplish?

    Just lights for now
All the thinking and money spent on tire change you could have been done with a 4" lift and fit 35's no problem

That's probably going to fit, but you'll have to do the front liner mod where you loosen the screws, shove it forward, and drill new holes in the liner. Should still have clearance on the control arm and I don't think the skid plate would come into play either.

My thought is to do a 3/1 lift and put 305/65 on my current rims which are the +25 offset with the hopes of little to no trimming. I have 285/65 currently and no issues but would like a little wider tire look.

With a 3/1 the 305/65 should fit with minor trimming. But you should clear the cab mount.

Joon is right. The widest tire you're going to be able to work with that offset is 11.2" on stock. You might could squeeze a 11.6" with the 3/1 lift. But with the 3/1 the 305/65 you want will just need a little. I think that would give you a good look.

Awesome! I get mixed up on the offsets. Is it the negative offset that will move the wheel more to the outside?

Correct. It doesn't have to be negative though. On our trucks, around a +35 offset puts you about even with the edge of the truck. So anything below that is going to push the wheel further out. I tried a set of spacers that made me go out to essentially a 0 offset. Super aggressive look, but rubbed.

Ok thanks yeah my 25 offset puts my tires out just a little and has an aggressive look especially without out lift makes it look a little fuller. But was wanting a little wider tire hence the wonder if 305 would work with little trimming. If I may ask where do you buy all your accessories?

I gotcha. I know what you mean. I like the aggressive look as well. But I buy my stuff from four wheel parts. It's a local place for me that can get just about anything you want and they do install as well.
