So getting ready to upgrade everything else. Have a Tech12Volts sub package coming with JBL Stadium 5 channel amp, 2 JL 10W0 Subs, and thinking about going the JL C1-650 for doors. Lets see what this HU can do driving some decent stuff.

Sounds like my setup I want! I can tell you that since this unit has the true DSP you will be lightyears ahead of the stock stuff. With the upgraded JL Audio stuff you will cry it sounds so good. ;)

A couple days ago I put the c2 650s in the front and c1 650s in the back doors. The clarity is incredible. I think you'll enjoy it

God no. I pulled my dash speakers months ago. Was running the jl c1 650x two ways in the doors. Sounded so much better than stock. With those tweeters in the sail panel it sounds amazing.

Just want to confirm, I got my unit from Amazon and of course they couldn't get the harness in it because it was a prime buy. For the 2018 tundrA non jbl requires cb004 harness they said but none of the descriptions have any call for the tundras. Can anyone confirm? And anyone have an extra so i dont have to wait a month to get it:angrygirl:

Finally got it installed! Some issues with mic, external one was causing it so I disconnected it, so far they can hear me . It’s sounds really good with my speakers and dynaudio tweeters. Also add USB’s and Factory one as well 6E843474-4647-4310-9EFE-8FB85C9E10B4.jpg

CB004 will work for tundra. You can order one from AliExpress. Shipping shouldn’t take that long.

Ok, after been playing with radio....for a while... I finally screwed something, now the Beeping when locking is not working, something I touch on control settings. So please beware not even touch it because it will deactivate it, unless someone knows how to getting it back? Anyone?:(

I did the same thing. I'm not sure but you may be able to turn it back on using Toyota techstream software.

JL C1-650 components installed. Running on stock amp for a couple days. All I have to say is freaking wow. What a difference. Cant wait to hear it with the amp and subs installed.

Same here, pretty sure u can turn it back on using techstream. My aftermarket key fob beeps when I lock or unlock so it doesn’t bother me as much.

Thanks!, I’m still trying to find old TS software, I got cable a while ago but lost cd came with it, so found the TS v.13 and I don’t see custom options on the left side, somebody here says old versions have the option? Anyone knows about this?

    Hello,

I came to this thread while searching for Android head unit options. I was initially going to go for this 7" Seicane option until I stumbled across this thread and am now considering the Dasaita 10 inch Large Screen Single Din. I'm looking for thoughts and opinions on why I should choose one over the other?

Seicane is cheaper, has a cd/dvd player but has a smaller screen. The Dasaita is more expensive has a larger screen but no cd/dvd player.

Do you use CD/DVD? In this day and age, it’s somewhat obsolete. You can use an external hard drive for media. I prefer the larger screen.

Good point, I don't really use those. I do like the big screen on the Dasaita.

Not directly. I am sure you could rip the dvd and play the resulting video file with VLC or similar on the unit though. I have not tried hooking up an external player and playing a video on that but I have one I can try.

Subs in. The system is complete. Had to bump some Beastie Boys to test it out. Sounds awesome.

Does anyone know if the expedited shipping is really expedited? It looks like it would arrive up to 19 days earlier than standard shipping. What kind of shipping times are you all seeing with standard shipping?

    Thanks!

Standard shipping took 5 days for me from China to California. YMMV

I'm really close to being dialed in; looking for a little guidance from those that have already finished their upgrades. I added two Alpine 10s after installing this head unit. Wasn't quite giving me the result I wanted, so I just installed the JL C1650s up front (I don't have JBL option or any tweeter in the sail panel, so I just replaced the 3.5s in the dash corners with the JL tweeters). Seems pretty decent so far-I don't know if I just need to tune it, or amplifying the door speakers would help add some richness.

I have an extra Alpine amp laying around that I could connect to the door speakers, but is it worth installing? I know the Dasaita puts out more power to them than the factory HU, but is that power negated if I still have the factory amp connected?

I haven't done any DiY car audio since the 90's, so I'm far from an expert (I did have three JL12w6s in my Explorer at the time though :). I appreciate any good advice.

The Dasaita HU does not put out more power than the factory HU. They listed max wattage, not rms. Your speakers need more wattage so you should install a separate amp for them. Make sure you tune all your amps.

You definitely need to amp the C1-650s.

Anyone know how to disable the auto mute in reverse?

Very close to my "claim to fame". I had 3 JL 10w3d4's in a downfire box in my '80 f-150. Had to cut the back wall out to fit the box. You couldn't BREATHE in that truck when the bass got pumping! I'd love to have similar in the Tundra but probably won't be able to get close without either 1. Pissing off the wife 2. losing the rear seats......
