Freedom Off Road UCA’s

Didn’t see too much info on these here, but want I did said they didn’t look beefy, wouldn’t hold up, hit the spring pockets, etc.

Just wanted to put my $.02 in. These got here today (and are already on the truck lol) and package was great. I pulled them out and they were definitely beefy! Forgot to get a pic with a tape measure. I did have to gently pry them apart when putting them on. This actually turned out to be good because that was enough to hold them on when trying to put that 4ft bolt back in.

Have a video too of moving them when they were mounted up. These do not hit the spring pockets at all. Must have fixed their design. I did see they had a silver colored model too, but I got the black ones. Even this design has been fixed. Honestly couldn’t be happier with them. We’ll see how they hold up!

 

Got aligned today and was quite surprised at how much these helped!

Only thing out of spec was toe, and just barely. Everything else was golden.

I put these on mine a month or so ago. Mainly for alignment and to eliminate coil contact at full droop. Very happy with them so far. My alignment specs are good too. I thought I would have to pry them a bit too but was just a matter of getting them just right.

 

For clarity, pics show the UCA’s with stock suspension. Have to swap UCA’s first then lift it. I’m lifted on Toytec BOSS coilovers, 2x CB shims on drivers side, 1x CB shim on pass side; 1.5” block in the rear.

 

Wow...really good price for a pair. $360 for non-uniball. $530 for uniball

How do these stack up against, SPC, JBA, TC, etc.?

 

So just to be clear you are lifted now with the new UCAs and alignment is good and movement/ no contact with coilover is all good?

Would you confidently use them off road?

 

Correct, lifted, alignment was near spot on. They fixed the toe a few hundredths; everything else was green. Absolutely no rubbing of the control arms on the spring pocket, and not hitting the coilovers.

Yeah I’d take it off road. They’re really beefy.

 

Most will say they don’t. Not sure if it’s because of the ball joint or because more expensive means “better quality?” IMO, I’d put them up against the main brands. I don’t have enough miles to say one way or another but so far they’re great.

Just checked their website and these do carry a lifetime structural warranty. Not that you'd want to have to go there, but reassuring seeing that they would warranty the strength of it for its functional life.

 

I'm also lifted with good alignment and no contact issues. 3/1 dreaded spacer lift.

 

How are these holding up so far, and any issues with the alignment down the road? Im really looking into buying some but would like some real world feed back.

 

Great so far!! My alignment is off a tiny tiny bit in camber, but I’m told the dealer couldn’t bust the LCA alignment bolts loose. So not an issue related to the UCA’s.

I haven’t had a single issue with these UCA’s. Have about 20k plus miles on them. Been all over dirt roads with pot holes and such.

Are the bushings rubber as opposed to poly? If so isn’t that a little better for a silent front end.

 

Sounds like it’s a rubber bushing. Freedom off roads description:

Just looked and they are $320 on Amazon. They are on my parts list now.

 

I would prefer poly bushing, rubber would wear out musch faster.

 

As would I. But the price point, I couldn’t justify poly. I’m super happy with these.

 

3.5 years later, how are they holding up? Alignment stayed on point? No major breakdowns or whatsoever? No squeaking, squealing, etc.?
