2011 Tundra Tire Pressure Sensors

Looks like one of mine bit the dust. Warning pops up when starting the truck, blinks for several minutes, then remains on. What is the cost to replace these things. The pressure is good on all, including the spare. Thanks

 

At Discount Tire/ Americas Tire we charge $60+tax per sensor with free programming afterwards.
The sensors carry a 6 year 72K mile warranty.

 

Mine did something similar and just needed to be reprogrammed. Not the expert by any means but was told each sensor has an RF-ID so your truck only reads the sensors that are programmed or taught. One of mine couldn't be read because the computer lost the RF-ID somehow, took 5 minutes to reprogram and it was free.
BTW the dealer told me I had a bad sensor and wanted ~ $100...so I took it back to the shop that I had recently purchased the rims and tires from and they said they hear the same story all the time.

Hoping its just a tpms wheel sensor replacement and not a tpms receiver replacement!!

My 08 Tundra is at 216000 miles, TPMS sensor did same thing. Had all 4 sensors changed at Discount Tire and light would not reset, took it back twice in case it was their mistake.

Ended up taking it to the dealer and they scanned it all and told me the TPMS receiver was worn out. Basically it communicated with your tpms receivers in the wheels and tells your vehicle if it should blink a tire light.

 

Eeeeeeeeek that could not have been cheap.

 

9.9/10 times its just gonna be a TPMS wheel sensor from what ive seen. My truck is a daily driver so makes sense that reciever went out after 11 years or so lol.

Dealer wanted to charge some $600+ for the sensor...just a sensor. Then add on 2 hours of labor to get to an $800+ cost.
Its easy to swap out inside the glove box, I plan to just go find one online or maybe a used one from like a 2014 Tundra that got wrecked or something.

At the moment I just drive it with the solid TPMS light on lol
I rotate the tires regularly and check the pressures...if a tire is flat I'll see it, and if one blows out I'll know it!Way cheaper in the short run, it ain't hurting nothing!

My 07 came with Nitto tires and no TPM sensors and a blinking warning light. BFD. When I put on a set a new Coopers.....no sensors. BFD. I check my tire psi myself. Old fart thing. Cheaper too. I survived this long without sensors. More worried about ice melting too fast in my C K Polar Pop...
