Hi, I just picked up a certified pre-owned 2018 Platinum with 12,00 miles from a Toyota dealership w/2" lift, 35"x12.5"x20" tires, and TRD dual exhaust which gives the truck a nice throaty sound. All work was done at the dealership. Loving the truck, but I notice the truck shutters front-to back (as opposed to up and down) in sync with the sound of the engine rpms when I'm giving it throttle. It's not the tires as I had the dealership re-balance them (and the vibration disappears when I left off the throttle). Is this because of the TRD exhaust? Gets annoying for any highway drive longer than 20 minutes. Should I be looking at putting the stock exhaust back on?

If it doesn't have a drop kit, they should put one in?

It should only need a driveline spacer if the rear is lifted. I have 2 inch lift in front and about 1 inch in the rear with shackles. My shackles came with three-quarter inch carrier bearing spacers.

I've noticed this on my certified preowned 2015 with 84000 miles, sitting stock with oem size tires, same cyclical vibration when going up incline disappears as soon as I let off the gas. I also have an occasional clunk when shifting from reverse to drive which I'm thinking might be related. Had it at the dealer but they did not investigate but got the dealer run around. Going to have to figure out on my own, greased ujoints every 5k miles since I've had it, changed all driveline fluids. The clunk sounds like it is transfer case to driveshaft area to carrier bearing. I can push the driveshaft maybe a 1/4" of tight play in carrier bearing, but read on here where other have no problems and that some play is normal.

Thank you all for your helpful support. I'll be taking it back to the dealer on Monday to get it resolved. I'll keep you posted.

Beautiful truck. You picked the best color. Welcome. Hope you get your drive line issue sorted out. I have a 3" front 2" rear lift on mine with no carrier bearing shim. I don't have any issues with drive line shake.

Dealer says the highway vibration is so minimal especially considering the lift kit, large tires. It does not currently have the carrier bearing drop kit. I have ordered a kit and will be installing on the weekend (weather dependent)

    Crewmaxs tend to do this.
