One other point to cover is this 37-40" tire that can be put on the Gladiator so "easily"...

5.38 gears are 300.00 x 2, plus install kit of 262.00. Labor on install is probably 5-600.00. Around 1462.00 for that mod. At this point, better install the axle tube sleeve kits. 175.00 and probably 5 hours labor

Need a lift. To run 40's and have proper geometry, you will need a 6" Long arm lift. 1750-3300.00

    https://teraflex.com/news_items/choosing-a-lift-for-your-jeep

    or

Run high line fenders and do some cutting/use a little bit of both systems. (this is what I did. 3" lift, high line fenders, 40's)

Personally, one can run bigger tires on the Jeeps axles if the off road part is very "reasonable"... If someone actually wants to use their Jeep like intended, axle swap outs will be needed. This will be around 11-13K for bolt in D-60's or similar strength.

I would expect nothing less of you. I'm sure it will be amazing.

Check out Nemissis Off road. I have wheeled with this 6.4L V8 swapped JK at the Rock Junction crawling event. This companies armor is top notch.

Expedition Overland just bought one to add to their fleet. Which reminds me...I'm in the wrong business. That crew has got to be loaded with cash.

Anyways, I like the looks of the Gladiator. However, it's a Jeep. Too many reliabilty issues for me to even consider one. We'll never own anything other than Toyota or Lexus now.

My wife and I had a 2014 JGC Ecodiesel before our 4Runner, I know we might have been in the minority (especially for that first year of it) but that engine was rock solid for us. Never did anything but overpriced oil changes every 10,000 miles and it would get 27 mpg on the highway at 80 mph. Love the extra room that the 4Runner has and the seats are a much better leather but miss the extra oomph of the diesel and the 8 speed transmission. In the end, we did get out of it basically because we were right at 100k on the clock and I was too nervous that we'd just been lucky to that point.

All that being said, the Gladiator looks great and I'd get one without hesitation OP but yeah, if you've got plans of going 37" or bigger on it, I'd wait for the Ecodiesel version. That 3.6 is anemic just in a stock JGC.

    ^^^^^This. ALL of this.

I've owned chrysle, dodge, ram, and even had a wee little Jeep renegade. I won't risk the mopar reliability issues ever again.

I've owned a few jeeps, last one was a TJ Rubicon with 4.5" full Metalcloak suspension, 35's etc etc. I had a lot of fun with it but it was just kinda small.

I hate the Gladiator lol. It's fugly.

Well I’ll have my Gladiator in about 6 weeks. It’s been built and waiting for it to ship to my dealer. I’m looking forward to my “fugly” Jeep. Lol 575DAD88-669E-4B40-AAEF-6E86EE825632.jpg

They only look good lifted with bigger tires. Otherwise look way too long and like you would high center on a speed bump. Still a Chrysler on the inside. I would never buy a new dodge/Chrysler product after the experiences some friends have had.

Owned two and regretted it, the first i chucked to being a lemon, the second well i didnt learn my lesson, no room in the back other than for a toddler, bouncers never get a good ride, propended to heavy rust, i saw one at the dealership where i got my Tundra and the space in the back is small, in my opinion not worth the money, sorry.

The ones I have seen in person are absolutely hideous. I would never own one. They may look better when modified, but the stock ones do not look good at all.

First thing to know is that Jeeps are lifestyle vehicles.

I love it but the engine is just too weak for my tastes. I wish there was a diesel option available right now as I would seriously consider one.

It looks interesting. I don't know about function / room. I had a few Jeeps and was glad when the last one was stolen. Saved me from the unreliability. JMHO

One of my friends traded in a 17 Tundra for this. If I remember correctly he told me that there was so many made like this one.He paid like 63,000 is what he told me . Don’t know how much they are but rides good has Fox shocks all the way around but inside is tight. Nothing like the inside of a tundra DB25472B-D8D0-45CB-A5EA-112EBF3560FF.jpg

I test drove this white Gladiator Launch edition today. It drives good but the inside cabin is a lot tighter than I expected. I got the dealer to take off $5k. I’m going to take some time to decide if the Gladiator is still something I want. 5ECD613A-9308-4705-AB71-EB2162830FE7.jpg

That's a bummer, but you have to make sure it's a good fit (literally)!

I'm sure it was nowhere near as roomy as the crewmax.
