Yes you have to remove all clips and bolts. After all hardware and fasteners are removed then it should wiggle out. You have fasteners on the bumper/fender and frame.

D1C72AE4-0432-4534-9CBE-0048B47DD3E3.jpg I installed these the other day and can’t get over the gap between the OEM fog light bezel and the Baja kit. Is this much gap normal? Disclaimer, I absolutely suck at installing shit, broke tabs/plastic removing the wheel well liners and my passenger side fog light bezel won’t align correctly to pop back into the bumper all the way (today’s task), so this likely could be my install error. I just couldn’t see any other way to remove this gap in each.

Other than the gap, I love the lights and as others have said, way to bright for on coming traffic, but I plan to use them as brights more than anything.

We are usually able to get them a little tighter but a little bit of gap is normal.

My passenger side is slightly better, don’t have a pic handy. It seems to me that the metal brackets that pop into the tabs of the oem housing could be slightly shorter to close this gap.

Yeah it’s got to be something I messed up. I’ll take another look when I have my passenger light out today. Thanks for the tips.

I noticed a small gap with mine, but once mounted on the truck it isn't noticable, and I have a touch of the OCD.

Hopefully a second check of that one will correct it.

It took me several tries to get the gap to get smaller. I was able to get it small enough to my satisfaction in the end. There will be a small gap on the inside edge of fog light, no matter hard you try. If you don’t install the foam or install the foam pieces correctly the gap will be quite large. The foam pieces are a PIA to install. Take your time and get the foam pieces to fit properly. Also, dont install the fender liner back until you completed aiming the fog lights.

They expect to have SAE DOT approved fogs coming soon, just an FYI.

forgot to mention, in case people werent aware, there is a SAE version of these lights as well that you can run on the street. I just ordered a set to put in the fogs and I am moving the Squadron wide angle to ditch light brackets.

First impressions, they look exactly like the regular squadrons but with a cutoff. Originally, I was very concerned with the cutoff and blinding oncoming drivers. My tundra is lifted and it’s pretty level which means the fogs are pointing straight forward, not down. After two weeks of driving with them on at night, not a single person has flashed their high beams or complained. As of now, I am very happy with my purchase and I moved my old squadrons up to ditch light brackets. 34592032-5A36-4A9B-AA63-CD2DA3737E46.jpg

@MotoTundra thanks for taking the time in creating the thread. It gave me the courage to take this on myself. Your step by step instructions were right on. It took me about 90 minutes to get both sides done. Thanks again!

That's awesome, good to hear. I may consider doing the same. Your truck looks great. Which brackets did you go with for the ditch lights and how do you like them?

Absolutely, glad it helped! Your truck is sick btw.

I went with Victory 4x4. They are low profile. So far they seem like a quality product. I do have one that may not be aligned correctly (my end) because the squadron bracket hits the paint when I lift my hood. I will fix this weekend and let you know.

Night and day difference! The install was pretty straightforward and your thread helped a lot. I have a 2017 and did not have a blue clip holding the lights in. Checking the current on my factory harness, blue (driver side) and red (passenger side) was hot and white was not. Although brown is typically ground in a lot of applications, along with black, I used the brown to connect to the power on my lights too. I too had a gap between the light and housing but based on the bracket provided, there is no way to eliminate this gap. You would need to fabricate a new bracket that allows the light to slide forward or position the "L" behind or under the screw.
