Me either. I’m thinking primitive. Anything solid that I could somehow strap or bolt in behind the bumper. I haven’t given it much of a look yet.

I think I will end up buying the Nfab strap down.......I went to harbor freight and Lowes but their hook rings are to large and they are not nice looking I would want them black so let's see what autoanything can do

I just thought that 100 bucks for straps and hooks is to much money

I have 295/70/18 and fits in spare location with TC shackles. Had to cut the guides but it's good.
I need my whole bed space so having it in the bed in no go for me. I used to have it there before and I hated it. my 0.02

I’ve got a little fab shop down the street from my house. I’m thinking I could have him fab me up something simple.

Maybe a shim right behind the trailer hitch to keep it pushed forward maybe about an inch and a half. Maybe even some flat stock bent in a bit of a M shape to keep it centered.

Same as you. It’s closer to the driver side than the passenger side. I’ve loosened the spare tire and tightened it away, and it always settles back.

So at least I'm not the only one so this is common I'm looking right now at some 2 to 4 inch rubber spacers to push the tire forward

So what are you thinking, just wedge it in there as you tighten it up to keep it forward? Interested to see your results. I like a simple fix.

No. The diff will hit the tire if you move it forward. My diff hit my 35” tire shoved all the way back a few times while MT. Doesn’t matter where you put the tire, gonna move where it wants to sit in 5 miles. Just get different shackles if you want it under bed imo..

yep..TC or MCM. Some folks here fit a 35" under the bed using TC/MCM shackles.

3-1 level kit with add a leaf. 295/70/18r cooper max. Spider head light tail light and third brake light, tint, badges off, ladder racks, trd pro grill, color matched hood bulge, grab handle, coach builder +2, dv8 front bumper with winch, fender flares, bed cover....
I have 295/70/18. Spare with very low tread and it rubbed a little. It’s off this week I’ll take a pic and show the damage it did. Not too bad but I wouldn’t put a new tire under there if it rubs

You're over thinking this. As long as it's not rubbing on both shackles at the same time you'll be fine. 33" should be no problem whatsoever with the CB shackles. Do not put it in your bed, unless you get a 35+ and it physically won't fit. It's not worth losing the bed space. If anything, find a welder to reweld on a centering bracket like the one you cut off. Should be quick and easy and not cost too much.

It’s true the steel shackles are much thinner. It’d fix ya right up.
