i have been in the market for an on board air compressor for airing up my tires and found this new product from NSV auto. It's the first time I've seen an on board air compressor designed specifically for the Toyota Tundra. It installs very neatly under the rear seat. This is literally just about to hit the market. The Rep said he doesn't have the exact cost yet but it may range around $400-$600 but he doesn't have the cost yet. If anyone is interested in this as I am please let me know? I will see if we can do a group buy for a better discount. IMG_5095.jpg

Until the product has been fully released for sale I don't have all the answers. Just thought I would post some pics of what's coming out soon.

yep bank account is running low from it..
I read on fj boards it's around I like 1cfm... It's a great idea if you can get 4 or 5 cfm..

I will keep my co2 tank with 1600 psi. :)

I thought he Rep said it's a 4 cfm output. If it's a decent system I'm going to add a separate Aluminum tank to it under the truck for additional air supply and my train horns.

Excuse my ignorance Mike, but what's the benefit of filling tires with CO2 versus O2?

I might be wrong here but I'm pretty sure CO2 is inert making it less susceptible to psi changes with temperature change?

Edit: I'm an idiot. Don't listen to me.

Very cool. I assume it is only for the 3rd gen guys where they cut out the foam to insert for a clean install.

When i went down to SD and purchased some stuff from CM_Lenny, he popped his hood and showed me his compressor set-up and it was pretty awesome. He'd be worth getting ahold of and maybe asking a few questions. He did an awesome job on his.

yep bank account is running low from it..
Co2 is nothing but a compress gas (liquid). One pound is equal to about 9 cubic feet or air when you do the expansion on it... Also co2 doesn't add water vapor into the stream like the compressor does. Therefore if you run air tools for example co2 you don't need a drier on it.. if you are running a locker for example (arb) I don't think you want water going into your diff case do you? More reasons to use co2 then compressor unless you run dryer inline.. co2 tank is portable i can take my tank out and go anywhere with it and have pneumatic power...

Only down side is filling it but over 2 year period I have only filled my 20 pound once at 20 bucks and 10 lbs on my tundra never used yet it's still full.

Never use o2 straight.. if you like to cut metal you can use nothing but o2 and a tip... Both are in the same hazard class (2) non flammable gas.. other problem with o2 is special tank required to transport o2. Only advantage is cubic feet is about 12 cubic feet 3 feet pass co2. Running pure o2 the cost to refill is up there...

Both co2 and o2 the cubic feet changes as per the temperature of the gas in the tank mind you.

After a small lesson here co2 will keep water from getting inside the tires and in cold weather not introducing water to freeze in inside the tire vs air compressor gas or o2 gas.

seems like a cool idea, but the compressor inside the cab would be loud, especially if you're airing up and you have small ones in the back seat, or even a passenger.

That's what I was wondering. Looks like it probably won't work for the Crewmax with ESP neither. That would be a shame.

I found out the CFM output for the compressor is 2CFM. I'm waiting on the spec sheet. I'll post it when I get it.

The on board compressor is on backorder for three months. The company rep is going to get me a group buy price for this and all the other products they sell for the members on the forum. I should have the cost next week.

    Group buy?

I can ask about a group buy. I'm already working with the main sales rep for a discount on the NSV light bar. NSV is reluctant to give discounts though because they don't want to have there dealers who vary their products being undersold. I'll ask though. As far as specs, I'll see if he can send me the specs.

Nice find at @1UPPER that's definitely pretty cool. Those 2 pics you posted look very different tho.. first looks nice n sleek, second one of the specs looks huge.. I'd be in on that for a group buy for sure.. :bananadance:
