Just picked up a '19 Super White Platinum with moonroof, running boards, and bed mat for $49k OTD (included $2.7k negative equity in trade-in). Price included swapping over the wheels from the old truck and the purchase and installation of a TRD dual exhaust.

This was the discount I received from the online request before stepping into the dealership to negotiate trade, etc. Ended up taking the low interest promotion instead of the $3000 cash back with this deal on 8/4.

Forgot to mention we did get $500 cash back in addition to the deal for my wife’s college graduation.

What sites are you using for trade in values and to determine what is a good price to pay in your area?

I tried truecar app but looks like I need to register forst. I also use carguru but that seems to be smaller dealerships.

‘19 Cremax SR-5 with TRD OR package and large fuel tank. MSRP was listed right at $50k. Got them down to $41.5k, including TTL. They also included lifetime unlimited miles bumper-to-bumper warranty and extended the free maintenance out to 6yrs/85k miles at no extra cost.

Traded in my ‘15 Taco DCSB TRD OR. I owed $12.5 and they gave me $27k for it.

Total came out to $26k financed at 3.0%.

    Southeast NC here.

Just bought 2019 Tundra CM Limited, short bed, Gray, premium package, Moonroof, Bedliner, Pulse, lifetime powertrain. After 4k rebate, before tax, $42.6k.
Did I do ok? Got worn down by all the negotiation :-(

It had 55k on it. Was a manual DCLB TRD OR 4x4 in Blue Ribbon metallic. I had added a low profile front winch bumper from US Offroad, Engo 9k winch and OME 3” lift. Took it in for a $39 oil change and walked out with the Tundra.

Is the current $3000 incentive a Toyota offer? I'm noticing dealers are adding it to their “discount". Shouldn't it be their discount plus another 3K?

Yes, there’s a dealer discount ($4813 in my case) plus $3000 factory/corporate cash back or special financing through TFS. There is also a $500 college or military cash back that can be used in addition to either of the factory promotions.
The discount I received online through the dealership website was better than Truecar or any of those type of sites.

So far, Costco auyo dealer offered:

    MSRP $46,298 Toyota
Internet Price (including rebates) $39,157 plus fees.(about 12%)

What do you guys think? I'm still hoping to drop a little more.

    This is crew Max
    4x4
    TRD sport package.

Question about the TRD and SR5 upgrade.
I notice the quote adds a TRD sport line item and a separate SR5 upgrade line item.

Should both be on there? I thought TRD sports package already includes the same (plus more)

TRD sport is shocks, sway bar
    SR5 is bigger fuel tank

the dealer put it on so it looks like you buying a lot of option, as long as the TRD sport package and the SR5 package add up to $5825 as advertise on their 2019 tundra build page. On 2020 they add a lot more package to confuse buyer.

    Hello -
I hope you guys can give me some help with getting a good baseline on what an appropriate negotiated price on a new '19 Tundra TRD PRO would be?

I currently have a white '16 4Runner TRD PRO w/ 34,000 miles, really nice condition which I want to trade in on a Tundra TRD PRO. They are always contacting me to sell the 4Runner. It's has been great but I need more room and want to tow a car trailer and small boat occasionally on 1,000 + mile trips. There are a couple of '19 TRD PRO Tundra's for sale relatively local to me. These are advertised at $52,500. I know when I finally got the 4Runner TRD PRO back in '16 there where none to be found and when you could find one they were selling at list price and more in some cases.

I would also be open to a Tundra Platinum if the final price is less than the TRD PRO which I doubt based on the limited research I have done. I just don't know if buyers have had any luck negotiating on the TRD Pro Tundra's. Like everyone else I just want a fair price and not get F'd over by a car dealer. I get the creeps just thinking about having to deal with them. So much so that I usually wind up just getting up in the middle of a negotiation for a new car and walk out. I am hoping I can get some buyer's experiences here on the forum before so I can have a little knowledge in case I need to walk out of the dealer.

    Thanks - Bill

some crazy deals. dealers here are dicks.
i got a 17 sr5 4x4 looks brand new with 14k for 35k. maybe not great but not bad.
but i will say they gave me a really good trade in on my 13 ram 1500. and they even told me strip anything after off that i want. got another 1500 doing that. sold the cap for a grand the next day.
could maybe have done better out if state or even just closer but i always like going to the dealer i purchased from, seem to get better service

Hi Bill. My limited experience suggests that you'd get a much better deal (lower price) on a platinum than a pro. I don't think the dealers discount the pro like a normal truck. The pro is still considered a premium/exclusive model.

This really is pretty accurate. I think mine ended up at about 11 and had I argued on the 250 doc fee I'd probably have been right about there.

There was a tax snafu, but I just went through the math and I think I ended up right about 11% off MSRP on a 19 Limited TRD Crew.

I haven't been able to get a perfect mix of good price and good trade in value for my taco.

At this point I'm talking myself out of buying a 2019 and waiting two years (my guess) for the new tundra.

You double the effort when using a trade-in. It gives the dealership two shots at squeezing money out of you. if you can, sell the taco yourself and work the Tundra price separately. Even fair/straightforward dealerships don't want to risk what they can sell a trade-in for. They have an Idea what they can dump it quickly in the wholesale market and that's the most they will give you for it (unless you are paying more than you should on the new vehicle).
