I was wondering about that seeing your dash all pulled. Shop Vac? One of those tape/sticky rollers meant for lint?

Received the beginning of my suspension rebuild.
    • OEM LCAs
    • OEM Tie Rods
    • Energy Suspension steering rack bushings
    • SuspensionMaxx Sway bar end links

    Need to order:
    • Camburg UCA's
    • OEM Lower Ball joints
    • Icon 2.5 Coilovers
    • Icon 2.0 Rears
    • Hellwig Sway bar - Just started thinking about this any feedback is appreciated
Should take care of everything. If I am missing something, please let me know!

Also, should have my (2) Magnaflow cats in this week. Sending back to my mechanic tomorrow as having a few issues with my truck. P0330 keeps coming on while cruising at 2k rpm. Might be something with Unichip tune as we just replaced both knock sensors and confirmed the continuity is within spec.

going to try and blow it out from the opposite side and vacuum from the resistor hole

should be doable due to the lack of vents or dash. if not i'll have to pull it

yep bank account is running low from it..
I keep the oem sizing on the truck for tires.. I'm not into big tire bs.. plus stepsides look like crap with bigger tires.

Blow out sounded like one of my big truck tires blow... Loud and violent..

Replaced my rod end bearings in my ICONs.

Wasn’t bad at all! I’ve got about 2.5yrs on theses and many miles. One bearing was bad and the other one was good. So who knows. I’ll do a better job at keeping theses cleaner especially after muddy / dirty trips (and during the winter salt)....

Last week I installed a serious stubby.
    20190721_183017.jpg

My previous stubby was about a foot long, this one is under 7". To my surprise it works really well! If I didn't know it was on there I would have a hard time knowing it wasn't the stock one.

The vendor is a member here and he helped me fix an address issue, Zach is a great guy got me sorted put fast. If anybody orders and uses paypal be sure your address is up to date.

weird question, but does your double cab have 1 wire or 2 wires from your antenna on the back of the radio

I found the keyless entry "antenna" by the gauge cluster. was wondering if i extended the wire and ran it to a dual antenna is the range would get better

    Extending it will add range.
On my 99 taco the VIP RS3000 antenna was wrapped around the gauge cluster. I unravelled it and ran it up the a pillar into the headliner. It went from only working when 10 feet away to working far.enoigh away that I sometimes didn't make it to the truck in the allowed 30 seconds before the system rearmed and locked the doors lol

I have the same one and it just screws in. You twist the old one out and put the new one in. Done in under a minute. I agree with Luis that the reception is fine though I got it just for looks. Who are these old men using the radio anymore? ;):boink:

Mine came with a double sided bolt that goes into the base, then the antenna goes in. Took me longer to open the package than to install.

Is it possible to fit 35's on our trucks without tubing the firewall?

My truck came with 35's on a spacer lift (all have been removed) and it was fine for around town, but would have definitely rubbed offroad. The PO did some minor trimming to the pinch weld area, but nothing else. This is on a DC though. I could only imagine if you really want to flex it out, you will want to do some extensive clearancing.

Picked up a set of Dakar CS047 leafs from a TW member to try out on my DC. Since there aren't many rear leaf options for our trucks and the 2nd gen Taco is pretty similar, figured I'd give it a shot. Also for $150 it was worth the chance as I can resell them easily if it doesn't work.

Trying to source a glove compartment latch to repair mine. $85 from the dealership. $70 from toyotapartsdirect.ca thanks to a $22 shipping fee. Fucking insane. Of course, finding a 2004 - 2006 Tundra in a wrecker is impossible around here.

I also need a new windshield. Knock off replacement glass will run me $180 per year for my insurance plus $50 for the deductible. I go through 1 or 2 windshields a year because its shitty glass. They could try to get me an OEM equivalent, but that's anoter $42 on the deductible (whatever) but then a potential $100+ freight charge because my truck is so old that the windshields aren't commonly stocked. OEM from the dealership is $650 + $150 install. Also, fucking insane.

In more positive news, I picked up some flat black spray paint. Going to remove the plasti-dip from the grille and paint that. I'm also thinking of painting up my skid plate and hitch receiver.

You should be able to use them. If you disassembly the leafs and put our main leaf in.

The leafs are all the same width
