What methods are you using to clean the gauge cluster plastic? It’s time to clean mine and I’ve read horror stories about clusters getting scratched bad. I’ve heard swiffer dusters as well as a wet microfiber. Would like to avoid all of the scratching that I can.

    Thanks in advance

The swiffer will work, I use one now and then. Also I have a soft brush for end of the vacuum that works better. Make sure your MF towel is super clean. I like shine supply clean and shine, also aerospace 303

Is swiffer alone better or damp microfiber? I took canned air and blew off what I could. I’m guessing that what’s left is where dealer put something on there when the truck was delivered.

Swiffer will at least grab the dust and remove it. Blowing it will just move it elsewhere. I like to vacuum or swiffer them using a clean, wet, MF towel wipe it down. Itll inevitably get a scratch but you can be careful and try to prevent as many as possible

I read a post online where someone uses olive oil on the gauge cluster. I don’t think I can bring myself to doing that. What other methods do you guys use?

Did you have it the towel damp when it happened? I still need to take care of cleaning mine.

That stinks man. Yeah I’ve read the horror stories so I have yet to touch mine. Would be nice if they weren’t so fragile and scratched so easily.

I cleaned mine with a swiffer and a damp microfiber with water only. I first gently “dabbed” at what dust was there with a new unscented swiffer. I followed up with a new white microfiber that I had damp. I was very gentle and didn’t use any pressure with either of these. So far all looks well and I’m hoping to not have to clean it for a while now since the plastic is so delicate.

I screwed it up on our Sienna using window cleaner. Must have been the ammonia? Cloudy in one corner now. Peace. D
