    Received my mount yesterday, bolted right up. Mocked up compressor location, now to build flat interface plate and wire up

    Wish there were brackets available for the Extremeaire Magnum compressor and a 2 gallon tank. I am not equipped to make brackets but looks like I am forced into it. Gotta get my air going!

    Check the magnum attach pattern to mine it might be they same dimensions. Then you can buy the bracket and just cutout a flat plate, and bolt it to both

    Can this bracket hold a 20 lb compressor without issue? What is the bolt pattern that comes on the bracket for the compressor? How much clearance from the bracket to the bottom of the hood do you have once the bracket is mounted?

    Since the ARB twin weighs 17.4 lbs and the ExtremeAire Magnum is 20Lbs mine is the smaller model so it should close to the arb, Even at 15% increasingly of weight there should be enough margin so I am not concerned
    The Magnum is 2" longer and 1/2" taller at the the compressor head. just like my version you need to re-clock the head 90 degrees
    I have know hood interference

    The BB plate is 11”wide X 4+” deep
    This is what i consider usable area. For the Magnum you will need to build a mounting plate the extends the 4+” to 5-6” since the two front mounting feet over hang

    @BigWalker, did you have to build this extension plate? It appears (I cannot find any drawings online) that mine and your compressor have the same footprint. I will contact the manufacturer.

    Yes im building the plate, its very simple flat 3/16” aluminum plate 11” X 6”. It will be bolted to the BB mount and i will install nutcerts that the compressor bolts to
    The compressor bolt pattern is 7” X 5” c to c

    The Extremeaire Magnum and the Extremeaire High Output (your model I believe) have the same bolt pattern. Looking at your picture I assumed it was already mounted to the plate of the BB mount. Why did you have to build an additional plate?

    The compressor has a 5” wide pattern
    The BB top plate is 4”
    Second the compressor does not sit far enough back so it is moved forward
    I will fab the plate tomorrow and take a few pictures

    Thank you for responding to these questions Pete! I appreciate it. And yes this mount will be able to hold over 100lbs of force if not maybe more. Did some stress testing in solidworks (shown in previous post photos) and rated the compressor weight to 100lbs and still no signs of weak points. Just a simulation but it’s way overkill. Thanks again and glad to see other compressors able to be used also.

    I am anxious to see @BigWalker's solution to the Extremeaire. I would like to see if there is something that could be done that could help your design be more flexible and open to a broader audience.
