Blue tooth Mic problems W/ new head unit,..

    Calling for help just put a Android head unit I'm my '12 tundra having problem with the mic, the head is not compatible with the factory Mic, it gives a static & echos on the other end of the phone, so i brought a new Mic and installed with the harness that came with the head unit and still having the same static echoes, and recommendatilns,...

    What head unit and where did you put your mic? I would imagine it would feedback/echo if it is too close to the speakers.

    make sure MIC is pushed all the way to back of rear Head unit. I installed mine top left corner of the windshield.
    could also be a bluetooth issue between your phone and head unit. check bluetooth settings on head unit and phone

    I have a similar issue with my kenwood mic. I thought the factory mic was perfect. I wish someone made an adapter to use that for aftermarket units
