2016 spindles on a 2014?

About to buy a used set of spindles to weld gussets on found a good deal but want to make sure that there is no difference in years found some off a 16 model and wanted to know if there was any difference for 2wd And 4wd thank you

 

2wd and 4wd are the same, just need the correct spindle seal. 16 and up spindles use bigger brake caliper mount bolts, no good for you.

 

Okay well glad to know that I found another set off a 14 now I'm gonna try to get

 

Spindle gussets are a must have if you wheel. This is how much mine bent after 6k miles. Old spindle in front, new in back.

 

I was just reading your post this morning when searching for the answer and seen that I'm planning on wheeling hard just wanna do everything right that I can the first time

 

So 2wd spindles off a 13 would work still then right?

Houston on fb market place guy took them off at like 26k miles

 

Did he say how much he wanted, you local to him?

 

Recommend finding new takeoffs if possible, price was the same for me. Don’t want to gusset a bent spindle.

 

100 bucks and I'm not sure I'm in houston alot for work tho and yeah I've been trying to find some new takeoffs recently but didnt realize the difference in years for these trucks

@GodlessPro snagged the ones I found in Santa Cruz.

 

I have a set in my garage that were removed before delivery to the customer. Seeing this just upped the priority of getting these gusseted. I'm sure that Schnebly Hill Road did nothing good to my un-gusseted spindles.

Ha! Last year after a run up Schnebly Hill Road was the first time one of mine bent. It’s cheap insurance, my alignment is still perfect after Sedona, must have imo..

 

Hi Dave! I know. Just been procrastinating. I picked up the spindles and a bunch of other parts I didn’t need. Sold off the other stuff so the spindles were free. Gussets are cheap and welding not too bad but I hear that installing spindles is $$$$ so I’ve holding off.

I’m kicking myself for not going for a ride in your truck. You have the exact suspension setup I am looking at getting.
