    This is older post, but feel I should update. Goldplugs finally did get back to me. They refunded me for the plugs I sent back. I had email correspondence with Tim, and he was helpful.

    Thanks, again, for this tip. I recently changed the oil in the Tundra and Passat, and put this to use. I'll see how things look in 5K miles.

    In case anyone else finds this useful. i made this for my own reference. torque and toyota part numbers included.

    edit: I use Ravenol oil, since they sell both the 75W-85 (vs 90) and the SAE 75W for the transfer case.

    Probably your safest bet. Some guys put some Teflon tape on it as well.

    How often do you all change your Trans/Transfer case/Diff oils? More often than what the manual says?
