*** Please only torque to 70 ft lbs,

Our First design back in 2009 required a higher torque spec and have gone down to 70 Ft Lbs after updating to our fully machined Coachbuilder shackle. Let me know if you have any questions or need a hand with anything else.

Ok thanks! I split the difference and went 80 ft lbs before you posted. I should probably loosen and re-torque to 70?

Btw these things are badass! I immediately felt the difference. If feels much smoother. I have stock pro suspension no shims or anything. It’s like the rear matches the front now as far as feeling goes. Much more plush.

If someone wants to upgrade their stock suspension ride, I suggest they go with +1s and one shim on each side in the front. It would pretty much be stock but would feel so much better.

Funny when I loosened the rear stock shackles up. I heard a pop because they were in a bind from those strange stock bushing serrations.

The only problem I have now is at full droop my leaves contact the edge of the sway bar. Looks like I’m going to need some extended links.

And no everybody, I’m not going to remove my rear sway bar. I like it too much!

Hi Coach, EBenke here. I bought shackles back in 2012, (Tundra Talk), they are holding up beautifully. At the time you weren’t offering the dropped carrier bearing with the 2” shackles or the grease fittings on my bolts. Are these items I should think about adding? I do four wheel a bit.

I’m considering going a bit higher in the rear.

    Great product for sure

Its def worth backing off on your torque a touch, This will allow a smoother feel as your leafs cycle. Im happy to hear your keeping the rear sway bar, the sway bar and shackles really compliment each other and share the stress.

I did go back in and loosen then re-torque to 70 ft lbs. I went out this last weekend with the new shackles. The highway ride on the way there was noticeably better. Out on the trail it was much more smooth than it ever was. Highly recommend this set up to everyone. I think any system would benefit from a coach builder shackle with poly bushings.

Did I mention they are dead sexy!

Thanks man, I got it all sorted. Coachbuilder contacted me. The original CB shackles torque to 90, the current design 70 ft lbs. I got it all installed now and it’s awesome. Really enjoying them!

Do you recommend installing the carrier bearing drop with +3s? Even if there’s no vibrations?

Yes, As you drive and the pinion angle constantly changes the CB drop kit will position the driveline in the sweet spot and have more range in either direction. install it :)

This setup is with out a doubt our most popular. What setting are you thinking up front and will post up pics. Usually if we set the 6112s on the 3rd click (1.9") we use 2 shims driver side and 1 on the passenger side and then use a set of our +2"s. This ends up sitting at about 2.5" up front and 1.25" in the rear. If you prefer 3" up front you'll want to set them up on the top setting (4th click 2.5") using the same shim setup and then a set of +3"s in the rear. This will sit at 3" up front and 1.75" in the rear.

OK. I know this is wrong thread to post in but I'll ask anyway since I have been meaning to call and ask. Coachbuilder. I have a 2016 pro with ALCAN springs with 2 inches of lift. I am looking at leveling the front. I'm assuming I should purchase your PRO shim kit with bumps stops, is this correct. and should I buy your carrier bearing drop for the 2 inch lift? I have not purchased shackles.

No Problem at all, With 2" in the rear Its worth adding our small CB drop kit, Steering kit and Shim kit up front. This way you're addressing everything front to rear and the truck will sit and drive nice and balanced. We have setup some specific alignment specs for this application please jot them down and ask your alignment shop to use them https://shopcoachbuilder.com/collections/frontpage/products/coachbuilder-trd-pro-kit-2015

    Hey @Coachbuilder1

I’ve got the 6112’s @ the 1.9 setting, 5100 for rear, CB +1’s and 1 CB shim for drivers side sitting in the garage to be installed May 28th. Going to add 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge to complete the package. I’ve heard the 5100 can be adjusted 0-1”, is that true? I’m worried I’m going to want more rake but if the 5100 can give me .5” I will be ok. Should I have gone with your +2’s? Thanks for all your input here!

With 1.9" up front and our +1"s out back you'll have about 1.00" of rear rake. The rear 5100's won't provide any additional lift just dampening control. This is a great stance and would be exactly what I'd recommend. Post up a few pics after your install. Excited to see it come together for you.

Thanks for the confirmation! Exactly what I was hoping you’d say. This is the first time doing a lift/level and getting a little nervous of the outcome. Appreciate the quick reply!!

I seem to recall a thread asking if anyone was interested in a list of local shops familiar with install of your product, did this ever come together?

Glad you asked, Yes.. We've started a state by state list on our FB page and will be adding to the website soon too. Most States we've worked with your Local Toyota Dealerships but have some very specialized shops from coast to coast we've been able to setup as well. Even if you're on any of the HI islands we have you covered.

    2018 Limited CM Cement

I will most likely go top setting with only one shim to even out the lean on driver side, any pictures would be much appreciated leveled or slight rake

Any chance for another group buy? Interested in +2 shackles and shims for the front.

it comes with it the order. I had it installed. I think people install them to make sure there is no vibration.

Just put in an order for the +1 shackles. I have 6112 at 1.3inches and 5100's in the back. Do I need anything else with the +1? poly bushings, CB drop kit? How about the rake?

Poly bushings come with the order. I do not believe that you need a cb drop with the +1, and I don't think that @Coachbuilder1 has them in the +1 kit.

Yes, we include the CB drop kit in with your shackles. ( +2''s and +3"s )

    Awesome,Thank you!

Your shackle kit will include everything needed for a perfect install. With 1.3" up front you will still have a bit of rear rake.
