I got picked for the Kleinn Tundra pretester so I was excited to install this direct bolt on TUN-734 train horn kit and it is loud. the install took about 5 hours and everything fit as planned. it all mounted in front of the rear axle on the cross member it is a lot to tuck in there but it does fit I placed the horn button and the compressor on/off button on the center arm rest and that worked out great it is right at the finger tips ready to blow at anytime. they also offer a remote control to blow the horns while away from the truck it is called the sniper. 20190327_195255.jpg 20190327_194730.jpg 20190327_195141.jpg 20190327_200152.jpg

I was thinking it would be great to blow the horn just as someone is taking a sip of their morning McD's coffee on their way to work........

Congrats me too. Only issue was I have dual TRD exhaust so only other option was to remove my spare tire. Worked
Out great plenty of room and remote line just mounted exit passenger rear tail pipe

Just curios why these are wired with a separate switch instead of using a relay off the OEM horn. I'm assuming these are incredibly loud. I've been looking at some of the smaller 150dB versions with built in compressor, but none really have great reviews..... or are not $400+.

Well if you ever go the air locker route and have a train horn some of the pricier kits might be worth the extra $.

Probably more amps required for compressor and solenoid valves.

    Timlindz,
I'm interested in adding this to my 2016. Did you get the blast master upgrade? My truck is lifted but I don't really want to take out my spare tire. In case of emergency, I would still like to at least hobble to a tire shop. Does this all fit pretty well without taking out the spare? Any tips and tricks I need to know about? Any drawbacks to having this horn? Your install looks great.

    Mama says “no”.

This may have to be a stealth install.

I want one too, but at that price, it’s well down the priority list....next to the NSV light bar :(

    Deedubb,
Make sure you really want that NSV light bar. I've had 2 warning tickets as Arkansas does not permit any running lights that wasn't factory on the vehicle. The day time running lights are bright as hell (even in the day time) and hat turned heads. Unfortunately some police ones. The day time running lights do dim in the evening but I still get pissed off drivers flashing me. I've found that if I drive with the parking lights on, it fools the Light Bar to dimming to night time settings. Also, the light bar gives you a new face where your aux is now. Looks nice and works great. Problem is you can't move to the tesla style head unit if you make this purchase. I've called Jansen who sold this to me and we talked at length at finding some way to turn these day time running lights off but I think the only way to do that is to put a toggle switch on the power line. Meaning you'll have to have 2 switches to operate. One for power and then 1/3 light options on the bar. I still love having it. Love showing it off when most other tundras in my city have some sort of bs rigged led light. Hopefully you can get an upgraded light bar from NSV that has the option of turning off the day time running lights when not in use. Good luck

I believe the lights cost about $1,000

I wouldn't be able to use that around here. Even a simple small honk to get someone moving at a red>green light could turn into a violent road rage incident quickly.

I had an aftermarket horn on my previous car that was a bit louder than stock. I had top stop using it because more often than not I thought the other driver wanted to run into me or pull out a gun!

i'm currently really in the market for one of these train/air horns! my largest concern is it being mounted under the truck, i do freeway driving and a whole lot of offroad/high water crossings/excessive mud! how would these horns hold up in those conditions? does anyone know of another location to mount besides under the body?
