2 5/8 inches of lift right out of the box. Only had time to do the passenger side today though. Much harder than I though. Looking good so far though

I just put the 700lb coils on my ICON's as SDHQ mentioned you do lose a little adjustability with the stronger coil. I got the tech data from Eibach and the 700lb coils will decrease the amount of thread shown by 5/16 the of an inch

1" of exposed threads is max preload on the Icon coilovers with the Eibach 700lb springs. Icon's 600lb factory springs have different coil bind, travel, etc than Eibach's 600, so you cant compare them. We have already done all the math and suspension cycling for you guys

No way those were 650lb springs. My truck drove like my grandpas old Lincoln with body roll in turns and leaning when you stepped in. I think something got messed up in their manufacturing plant. Put Tacoma springs on the tundra coilovers or something. 1.75” of lift at the 2” thread market. No way..

Well I know the coil bind or block height of the eibach 1600.300.0700s springs is 8.03 inches. The 600lb springs are 7.72 inches with a difference of .31 or 5/16. These are the measurements I used. 2 inches thread exposure minus 5/16 = 1 11/16ths

I believe the last 3 numbers detail the spring rate on the ICON coilovers.

I ended up with 2 5/8ths & 3 inches of lift with max threads showing. Will probably end up adjusting for lean. Super smooth and extremely happy with the purchase. Can’t wait to put on the new wheels and tires (method grids with Falken Wildpeaks at3w- 285/75/18). Installed the Icon rxt leafpack as well. These were supposed to be 1.75” above stock but ended up with 2” for some reason (?) which gave it a bit of a rake but I actually don’t mind it at all9F0B6A03-1111-4681-8638-FDDE41FB053D.jpg

If anyone is worried about possible coil binding you can take a few of the really tiny zip ties like the ones used in RC cars and tie them around a few of the coils. If your coils contact eachother they will break or deform letting you know that coil bind is happening.

I just called ICON to confirm everything again because of our discussion, 1 inch max thread showing is the max for the eibach 700lb coil. SDHQ you were right.

So me being a SeaBee in the Navy I took my original ICON 650lb springs over to the mech shop and compressed them down to measure the block height. Which is 7.83 inches the 700 lb eibach coils are 8.02 inches making a difference of .2 inches. I added .05 to equal a quarter inch for error. So if the original springs could have 2 inches of threads above the collar, theoretically you have a max of 1 3/4 with the 700lb springs. I am going to replace the factory lower bump stops with larger ones for extra safety. I am assuming the one inch max thread showing is to allow for any error to allow extra space.

How many inches of thread do you have on driver and passenger side? What’s max thread showing?
Waiting on my shipping and can’t wait to install. Want to get it right the first time.

    @sdhq_offroad and/or @Icon_Adrian

Is there a coil available yet for the 3.0 either thru you or even directly from Eibach in the 700# variety?

No and it there won't be. Making a 700lb spring for the 3.0 will net no additional lift with available preload vs the 600.

I’m less concerned about lift and more curious if it’d handle the weight better. I have the Tundra conversion on my Land Cruiser and the 600# spring makes my front end feel too soft. Is my only option valving then?

I added larger lower bump stops as added security to prevent coil bind. I have 1 1/4 inches of thread showing in the driver's side and 13/16 inches of thread showing on the passenger side. The truck sits dead level left to right with 7 inches of clearance between my Toyo 295/70/18 tires and the wheel well.

Valving will only control the shock more, it won't correct ride height or give more ride height.

So everyone knows I did the math and calculations for my vehicle and they do not coincide with ICON's recommendations. However I am comfortable due to changing out the lower bump stops the limit upward travel and I do not desert race or haul butt off road. I live in Oregon and drive logging roads while hunting and fishing. If there are huge bumps and ruts I go slow!!

The eibach spring I installed are part #
    1600.300.0700S

The bump stops are from wheelers offroad
    Part # WHE01SUPERBUMKIT

Both sides have 2 inches showing. I believe that is the max you can go.

Again, I don’t care about ride height. I’m happy with how the truck sits. The shocks just feel too soft. Almost sloppy. I want it to be firmer and handle big hits better.

The 600lb springs made my truck feel like an old Lincoln town car. It was rolling into turns and would dip as you got in the truck. Felt sloppy to drive as you put it.

    Is yours the 4x4?
Looks like you have the CM and the 5.7.

When you say max threads showing you mean at the 2 inch ‘limit’ of preload?

Mine is the DC 4.6 4x4 so hopefully slightly less weight will give me 3 inches of lift.

I’m only concerned because currently have a spacer lift I’m going to replace and already have 35 tires on so need to clear those.

My coil overs and UCAs arrived today and was hoping to install this weekend - but - don’t want to have take them off just to swap with the 700 coils if I don’t get the advertised lift.
    I’d rather install once.

No additional weight in the front right now but in the next year or so will add bumpers and maybe a winch at which point don’t mind swapping out the coil to higher spring rate.

To install or not to install.
