Hey Phil, just got mine other day. Shoot me a pm. Did u install according to directions on paper or different way. Did u get power source from under armrest and route forward like directions say?

 

Are the spacers on factory suspension? Any rub?

The rear of the console was soooooo easy.
1. Pop off panel by carefully pulling up on edge of vents. 2. Unplug cig lighter and 2 spots where wire bundles are clipped down. 3. Unscrew plate that holds the cig port on it (3 screws, Philip's). 4. Remove cig port and I had to slightly cut a larger hole to fit my new charger so I just used a utility knife around the inner edge of the existing hole. 5. Insert, straighten, tighten down new USB Charger. 6. Cut red and white wires at old plug. Using simple female to female wire connector; strip, insert, and crimp added wires with female spade receivers. 7. Plug and play and check for accuracy. 8. Pop panel back on and boom. Took me 25 minutes.

I did a thing today. Wireless charge pad. I took step by step pictures too if anyone decides to copy and needs help. I'll load them to my build thread if people are interested. Looks OEM to me. I might even dress it up a bit with the red/black tuffskinz I removed from that area. Least that was an idea I came up with when I removed it. Time will tell if I ever get around to that 1 if I think I can make it work.

With all that black and red I got going on in the interior I felt the need to put some eye candy under the hood to match. Got a great deal on a used but looks new trd cai to match from a fellow member. I never would've bought 1 new and have been silently looking for a loooooong time. Finally got what I was looking for. I'll try to get that in not long after I get it later in the week.

 

Hey now we gotta get together and do a double install day. If u haven't done it yet we can install the pop n lock and trd cai on both our trucks 1 day. My cai should be here within the week and I still gotta get the pop n lock. I got Amazon prime so when we come up with a day that works for both of us I just need least 2 days in advance to place my order. In the meantime I'm keeping my eyes open to find 1 cheap secondhand, like the cai.

This was a pretty labor-intensive weekend for ME...took about 8 hours for these two projects combined. It would probably only take a couple of hours for you modding pros!

The first project was installing color matched mirror caps and door handles. This was the "piece of cake"...a little under 30 minutes.

The second project was no "piece of cake" for me...it was a couple of damn bakeries!! Inspired by all these puddle / running board lighting installs, I decided to put some LEDs under my running board. While I was running the wiring, I figured since I plan on getting a better suspension in the future for off-roading, why not go ahead and install rock lighting. Regarding the 7.5 hours it took me, in my defense, I wanted everything to be as close to waterproof as possible, so I used waterproof solder splice connectors on all of my wiring connections, which took some time. I also sheathed all of the wiring, and used wire-looms where the wire connections were. I used LOTS of zip ties as well to keep the wiring as high up underneath the truck as possible. I tied all of the lighting into the cargo light switch. Here are the pics, and hopefully some notes you might find helpful.

Here are pics of the mounting points. Each running board has two LED pods, and I put a pod under each wheel well, for a total of 8 LED pods.

I removed the factory POS JBL sub and installed my own. When you remove the sub, there is a bracket that comes out with it that bolts to the floor, which leaves you with a bolt and hole with no use. So that gave me a nice hole to bring the wiring through. I installed a rubber grommet in the hole to bring the wire through, so the wire doesn't rub against bare metal. I ran the wire to the wiring channel under the rear driver side door sill, found the darker pink wire, and tapped it. For the ground, remember that leftover bolt from the sub bracket? It fits perfectly into a threaded hole in the wiring channel which seems to serve no purpose. Ground found!! Finally, I wanted to cover up the hole where the wire comes through, so I found these Velcro circles, and it covered it up nicely. End results on the bottom. I can't get over how bright these little pods are! And the eight combined only pull 6 amps.

 

Throttle body service:

 

Yes they rubbed on factory suspension. Since that update I upsized my wheels to 35s and added shackles, coil shim, and bumper ships from coach builders pro set and still have some rub at full reverse lock. I tried to heat gun my flaps but it was a little cold today and didn’t work as easily as I thought gonna give it another go tomorrow
