Going to be attending Tundras to Sedona this year and we are driving from Denver CO. We are going to be going through Utah and down into Arizona on the way there, but on the way back we are going to go through New Mexico and then back up to Colorado. Just wanted to get some suggestions on things that are in the area that are to see. We most definitely plan on going to the Grand Canyon and hopefully Horseshoe Bend. Thanks in advanced!

Going to be taking HWY 191 to HWY 160. Driving from Denver so we are probably going to stop in Moab to camp and then drive the rest of the way the next morning.

Check out 128 instead of 191. Excellent camping around Castle Valley and Fisher Towers. Moab is kind of a junk show

Antelope Canyon is cool. I would do a Lake Powell drive by too if your already that close. I love Lake Powell. Also, back door into Sedona from Flagstaff through Oak Creek Canyon (89A). Its a great drive plus there is a Walmart where it starts before you leave Flagstaff for ice and misc.

Thats the fastest way back, but its pretty boring. I've done that countless times when I used to live in CO Springs. Watch for crazy weather going through Gallup and watch for speed traps right around Raton, right before you hit the mountain going up into Trinidad. Timing it so you dont have to hit Albuquerque rush hour is a huge bonus too.

Just after Blanding UT turn right on HWY 95. It's paved but there is a spot where it goes down into a valley and it looks like the road just drops off the cliff. First time driving there freaked me out.

Then at HWY 261 turn left. This will become dirt, when it says speed limit 25 slow down quick, this will take you to the Moki Dugway (google it) watch for cows on this road before you get to the Dugway.

This will drop you into Mexican Hat.

When you get to Kayenta take HWY 160 towards Tuba City then turn right on HWY 98 towards Page to see the lake and go by Horseshoe Bend. HWY 98 has some great views of Navajo Mountain.

We know the area pretty well as we do satellite internet all over northern AZ and southern UT.

On the way back through NM I'd go through Santa Fe then the Taos area. Probably be getting tired of driving but the cortez, telluride, gunnison, salida, leadville route is beautiful.

Definitely take this way past the old ghost town of Cisco. Also follows the river, very beautiful views.

I had to do work in Los alamos years ago, it was absolutely beautiful! We didn’t spend any time in Santa Fe but it looked amazing as well! Me and the old lady were just talking about trips(getting stupid Disney land out of the way soon) ruidoso also came across the tongue

Did Ts in Sedona get postponed like the overland expo?
